Author's note: Welcome to my new project. During Lockdown in 2020 and 2021 I was rewatching Merlin, and I remembered how much I used to love it, including the first episode that made me a fan of Merthur. Dreamscape

It was morning in a small village of Ealdor in Essetir and many children are seen playing in the fields while the adults are working in the fields apart from one family. Which happened to the Ambrosia family. which consisted of a mother and her child with no father in sight. The mother you would describe as a very beautiful woman, with hair dark as night and eyes blue as the bright sky. While the child was described as a very mischievous child with a smile that makes the sun jealous and with blue eyes that are described as blue as the ocean and small for their age and is always mistaken for a girl but is a boy.

"My dear Merlin, you must never use your magic, even under extreme circumstances." The mother told the child named Merlin.

"Mummy, why not?" Merlin asked curiously.

"There are many bad people who would like to use your powers for bad things, that is why you must never use your powers." The mother explained gently while hugging her large-eyed child.

Later that night while the mother and child were in the same bed, asleep until the mother could hear screams and the smell of fire. "My little bird, you must wake up." The mother gently but roughly shook her child. "You must leave for Camelot, my uncle there will protect you." The mother said as soon as her son woke up and both mother and child left their home and all they saw was chaos as the wooden houses were on fire and an eight-year old boy was seen running to the children with fear in his eyes and the mother knew she must stay with her village and prayed to the old religion of the protection of her son and friend. "Will take Merlin and travel to Camelot when you arrive. Look for a man named Gaius. He is my uncle and is aware of Merlin' s magic." The mother begged the older boy. The older boy nodded with dertatimation in his eyes.

The two boys then left the village and the last thing the boy Merlin saw was his village in flames and the fear in his mother's eyes.

Twelve-years later꧂

A sixteen-year old just woke up with sweat on his forehead and swiped the sweat off.

"That dream again." The teenager muttered to himself as he looked towards his balcony window as he saw the sun shining in the sky like a greeting, and the teenager got up and opened his balcony door and quickly noticed a crowd was forming in the main square of Camelot.

"Let this serve as a lesson to all. This man, Thomas James Collins, is adjudged guilty of conspiring to use enchantment and magic. And, pursuant to the laws of Camelot I, Uther Pendragon, have decreed that such practices are banned on penalty of death. I pride myself as a fair and just king, but for the crime of sorcery, there is but one sentence I can pass." The king of Camelot addressed the citizens of Camelot while standing next to him are his children who are twins. The oldest was called Morgana and the youngest (only by ten minutes) Arthur. The teenager watches on as Uther raises his arm, then lowers it as a signal to the executioner. Thomas Collins is beheaded. People gasped in horror and excitement as another evil successor was off the streets.
