Prompt: Cake
The best part of every wedding evening would be the arrival of the cake. Fun fact, the cake didn't arrive in full pieces....It was evening and almost half of the townies from Sunset Valley weren't home. Interestingly, several cars were parked in front of the local theater as the parking lot behind it was filled with vehicles and fewer ones were parked behind each other. By the exit of the parking lot, there were two other vehicles as well, including a limousine which had on the back various kinds of canes and ribbons attached to the back.
By the front of the theater, a blonde and a raven-haired nurse walked by the theater chatting and the blonde took a look at a board, which would announce further spectacles.
"They closed the theater for an event," Mentioned the blonde woman with glasses, then the long-haired woman approached her work pal to look at the sign as well.
"Closed for intern celebration," Read the raven-haired woman, then shrugged her shoulders. "I think this is where the wedding dinner was, which Holly and Bebe were going to attend. That one SUV at the end belongs to her," Commented the woman making the blonde look down at the road.
"Right. I did hear Bebe talking something about her husband being the groom's best man at the wedding," Commented the blonde. "I'm sure Zelda or anyone in the theater offered the place for dinner. It would be easy for most of the guests to show up," Admitted the woman continuing her way along with her workpal.
As the duo passed in front of the small alley between the theater and the supermarket, from behind the store there were two women shoving together on a cart a large wedding cake carefully towards the brown building.
"I did really think you were the one, that made that cake," Commented Molly looking at the brunette woman.
"Actually, Maddison and Victoria made it together. Vicky had the experience of doing cakes from her past job as a baker, so with her help things went out better for her," Responded the Frenchwoman making the short-haired woman nod, then stopped the cart to make her way to the door.
"Wait a second, Molly. I will open the door," Offered the woman reaching the door, while the friend moved the cart carefully.
Inside the theater, the orchestra hall was filled with five tables, all set with cutlery, name signs, and flowers. Major of the guests sat by their tables, chatting with each other and a fewer were standing around the room with drinks as well wrapped up in conversations. By the front of the recording booth, a crew of waiters were setting plates on the set table for the further part of the feast. One of the men carried in his arms a large pile of plates, then was offered by two others to split the plates.
Vice versa the place stood the table, where the groom and bride were sitting together in their dress code. The lucky birds of that night were two natives of Sunset Valley with foreign backgrounds. River McIrish and Parker Langerak. Both knew each other from high school and befriended each other due to a school-themed issue from Parker's side. Their friendship quickly grew over the year and both their relationship changed into something more, which kept on going well.
At the moment, the bride was drinking a cup of tea, while the newlywed husband beside her was scrolling through images from the evening someone had taken for him with his smartphone. Parker placed the smartphone down, then admired the brunette beside him enjoying her tea.
"I'm sure a coffee at this time would be great," Commented Parker making his wife chuckle.
"I did drink two today already. I want to be on the safe side with our little one," Commented River with a little smile, making him mirror her face and look down at her dress, where her belly was, still unnoticeable about its growth.
