I stood outside my apartment block breathlessly, in the past I had been stood up by many guys, but I had a good feeling about this one. It was the middle of December and already dark, a flurry of snowflakes whirled around me and fairy lights were hung around the streetlamps. I could see my breath and it swirled around me like steam. I was warm in my red beret and thick winter coat with a check scarf.

As I dusted the snowflakes off my shoulder, a yellow cab skidded into the sidewalk. I laughed as I saw Joey inside driving. He bent his head out the window and called "Miss nightingale, your chariot awaits!" I hopped in and took a seat in the front and he kissed me on the cheek.

As I was driving on the icy roads, I was struggling to keep my eye of her. She looked so perfect and I just wanted her to be mine. I wanted to kiss her red lips and hug her tight. I obviously looked for too long as suddenly I swerved off the road and into the bush to a cacophony of horns. I sat and looked abi for a while until we both burst into laughter. "Are you ok" I asked tentatively. She giggled "yeah, just a bit shaken up" "What happened?" I said. " What happened was that you were too busy mentally undressing me that you didn't realise you were driving" Abi laughed. "Kiss me" I said seriously.
