YOU STARED AT YOUR phone for the umpteenth time today, you didn't want to seem desperate but katsuki had said that he would text you over the course of the day, and he hadn't done that yet; and the day was nearly over.
you knew the reason for your boyfriend's communication, or the lack thereof.
you see a few days ago katsuki had told you that he would be starting his work studies soon at best jeanist's agency in kyoto, and sometimes it would get cray busy with cases and stuff, which would cause not just the sidekicks but the work study students, so you understood why he wasn't always able to talk to you, you really did.
and you sympathized with the poor blonde boy when he would sometimes call you bloody and bruised and just off of some type of battle field. but some part of you couldn't help but let the feeling of jealousy creep up on you when it seemed like katsuki payed more attention to hero-ing than you.

"look alive y/n, you're literally hanging out with your two favoritest people ever !" hana exclaimed, taking your hand in hers and intertwining your fingers, yua doing the same with your right hand
you see hana and yua had offered to take you to a local mall in the area the three of you lived in, and you gladly accepted, thinking that the liveliness of the mall would distract you from worrying about your newfound relationship, but alas, red eyes and spikey blonde hair stayed on your mind like the plague.
you sighed and smiled at your two close friends before responding; "i'm sorry y'know? if it seems like i haven't been paying much attention to the two of you lately, i'm just worried, about katsuki specifically" you said
you sat down on one of the wooden benches near the food court and you looked at the people walking past you, suddenly an envious feeling made it's way into your mind and made it's way through your veins as you watched couples passing by, all happy and in love, leaving you only to wish that, that would be you and katsuki eventually.
"we understand (your nickname), we've all been there plus you have nothing to worry about" yua said, knocking you out of your depressing thoughts
you really hoped so.

"would this look cute on me?" hana asked, holding up a corset type top
"it would look hot on you, can i ask why you've dragged us into this shop?" yua replied, looking at different things on a random display shelf, in response to this, hana merely scoffed and threw the top into a her basket
"well if you must know yua, ren and i's one year anniversary is coming up and we're going out that night so i need to look totally completely breathtakingly hot so i that i can impress the literal love of my life" hana babbled out her response as yua began snickering
you listened to their playful banter for a bit before adding a comment of your own; "well clearly ren's been impressed enough if they've stuck around for this long" your teasing comment only made yua snicker more
you gasped when you felt something soft hit your back, you looked over your shoulder and saw a pillow laying on the floor, then you made eye contact with a pouting hana.
and as soon as you burst out in laughter, you knew that you really didnt have to worry about anything.

eventually hana went to check out as yua said that you would wait for her outside the store. so that's where you stood, outside the thrift store leaning against the window with one of your closest friends who was currently babbling about nonsense.
as you listened to yua's babbling, you added your own comment from time to time, making her go into further detail about the topic she was currently on, making you half assed listen instead.
but her pointless babbling was quick to become static in your ears as your stomach dropped to your ass when you saw someone who looked very much like your boyfriend kiss someone who looked nothing like his girlfriend
