Sally's POV:
I sit alone in the abyss that is space. I look around, the fascinating stars twinkling in the sky. They are a lot bigger up here, I've heard they look small down there. That would make sense, I suppose. I've never had stage fright, I've always been shining so bright. Sometimes, other stars pass by, and it's very nice to see them. They say down there, I shine the brightest out of all of them. Some stars don't even like me for that particular reason.
I stare down, and I can see just tiny specs of all sorts of colors. I wonder what it would be like to shine down there. After all, if the puppets down there like me that much, then maybe they'd like to meet me. Do they even know I'm alive ? Or do they see a bright spec ?
I lean over my swing. I wonder if there's other stars down there. I let go of the chains of my swing, not even realizing it.
And leaned too far.
Julie's POV:
Me and Frank went to go look around for moths. We're having a sleepover, and even though they think butterflies are better, their still interested in such a subject. So we decided to go out and catch some ! It's really dark, that means my favorite star is out ! It's the brightest in the sky. It always sits riiiighhhttt . .
. . .
Here ? . .
. . .
Where did it go ?
" Fraaannnkkkk ! " I wined.
" What is it now, Julie ? " They said with obvious annoyance.
" The star, it's GONNEEE ! " I said, pointing up where it once shined in the sky.
" Julie, don't be ridiculous. It probably moved. It'll be back in a few nights. "
" But what if it doesn't come baaaccckkkkkkk ? "
" Well then, I don't know. I can't track down that one star for you. "
" Okay ! OOO ! Frank, look ! A moth ! ! "
" Hush up, Julie, or you'll scare it away ! "
" Right, sorrrrryyyy ! "
As Frank swung and caught the moth in his net, a spark of light caught my attention. It was a shooting star ! ! And a BIG and BRIGHT one ! ! !
" FRANK ! FRANK ! LOOK ! ! "
They turned around.
" Oh, a shooting star. That one seems a . . Little too close for comfort. "
Then they turned back to their moth.
I sighed. The shooting star was gone now. It was such a fun one !
I turned back to the moth as well. It had those beautiful wings, except it was more cold colors than what I was used to. I thought all colors were great ! Buuuttt most butterflies had warm colors, were moths different in that way ?
" See . . Now that's interesting. " They said with a small sigh.
" It's great- "
KABOOM !
. . .
" Did you hear that ? " They said, looking at me with slight horror.
" Was that . . An explosion ? " I said, turning to where the sound came from. Without thinking, I ran over to the source. Curious as hell.
" JULIE WAIT- ! It could be DANGEROUS ! ! "
I ignored them. That wasn't something I did often, but something told me I needed to go over there.
Frank's POV:
" Goddammit Julie ! "
I groaned. Julie shouldn't go over there. She could get herself killed ! I had no choice but to follow her. I sigh and begin to walk over.
That Julie Joyful . . She's so lucky I care about her.
I begin to chase after her, but she's pretty much gone. She's running into the woods. Great. And now she's breaking Wally's rules. He says it's Home's rules, but I doubt Home can speak.
Unless Wally can understand it . .
I chase after her anyway. The woods can't be that dangerous. What would Wally know about the woods ?
I run through the Rainbow trees, whose leaves have been falling recently. I believe that's called autumn, but more commonly called fall. Such a lazy name. I get the leaves fall, but that doesn't mean it should be called fall.
She's running farther and farther . . What does she expect to run into ? Some man ?
She listens to Poppy's absurd fairy tales way too much. She probably thinks it was some handsome man that fell from the sky.
Everyone in this neighborhood is so gullible.
What is that- oh. It's a crater. It was probably a meteor . .
Wait . .
. . .
Is that . . A puppet ?
Julie's POV:
I ran and ran through the trees. I could hear Frank following me through the trees. They always did that, even when they didn't wanna get into trouble.
I kept on running until I met a crater. Ooo ! It must be- . .
. . .
Woah . . It's- glowing ! And-
. . .
I gasped out of surprise and shock.
She was glowing. She was a star. Her beautiful, starry eyes shone as she looked up at me, confused and frightened. She wore a beautiful sparkly gown that matched the night sky, with some color in appropriate places.
She's . . Beautiful.
I feel my face got hot and my palms get sweaty. But . . Why ?
She's so . . Amazing. Shining. Bright. Beautiful.
She's . . A star.
My star.
A/N:
SOOOOOOO I got this done ! I don't expect many people to read it immediately, since I've written a story before. But whoever does decide to take a look, I hope you enjoyed !
