There's something about the way people would smile with their eyes, that just got a grin on the blonde's face immediately. Especially his eyes.
His thumb brushed over the smooth surface to move on to the next picture. Sadly, the face of that certain person wasn't visible on this photo anymore. Who needs pictures anyway?, Chan thought, He'll be right here in a few moments.
With a tiny sigh slipping from his soft lips, he glanced up to the second (but way bigger) screen. Immediately his heartbeat began to sound in his ears.
'San Francisco (SFO)'.
There. It was right there.
His dimpled smile went brighter, so bright and wide, in fact, that the other people at the airport could have mistaken him for the sun in person. But who were the others to judge. He didn't care about their opinions. Not about this.Suddenly a wave of people streamed out from the passageway.
A mother and three kids, arguing.
An old man with a little boy holding his hand.
Two teenage girls, arms interlocked, laughing like there was no tomorrow.
A woman, dreamily plucking at a spot of her hijab.
A guy stretching his limbs like he's been sleeping for ten hours straight (which was indeed possible). They were of all kinds of backgrounds, Chan was sure, but he felt like for the first time in his life he really couldn't care less about anyone else. His mind was a one way street, and in the end there stood a boy. At the moment he could practically already feel those silky brunette curls between his fingers — the same fingers that were now fidgeting in excitement.
The people kept coming.
A young guy, looking a bit too young to fly on his own.Although the people around him weren't much taller than him, he got on his toes, bending his neck as far as it would, just to have a slightly better view. As person after person came into sight, the one with the wide shoulders soon had to realize none of them quite looked like the pretty boy he was waiting for.
A few more people.
A middle aged guy with a huge backpack. His eyes continuously moved from a new person leaving, back to the exit. Back and forth, back and forth, without success. As fast as the crowd of people came, just in the same speed their number decreased and now only a handful trickled out.
A couple running with intertwined fingers.
A hooded figure and a laughing man.No dark brown curls. No adorably devilish smile. No pretty eyes.
No Seungmin.
Then another person appeared.
White cap on dark hair. A baseball shirt. Hands gripping the strap of a black backpack tightly.Something in the blonde's chest started to pound against the inside of his ribcage, like it wanted to escape. Escape into the arms of that boy who, Chan now remembered, already had his heart.
There wasn't even any time left for him to call out anything — their eyes already met and in that moment a grin was on both their faces. And then all he saw was a blurry silhouette moving fast towards him.
Next thing he knew, Seungmin had abandoned his hand luggage to the floor next to him, and was wrapping his arms around the taller one's neck. Oh how I've missed this.
"Hey Seung."
"Good you didn't film that. I would've killed you if you'd show that to anyone."That was such a typical thing for Seungmin to say, he didn't even bother. All he did was laugh. Laugh like he hasn't in ages. There was a slight murmur against his skin. ("There's that laugh.", he had mumbled, but the surroundings were too loud for Chan to hear those words.)
"Missed you too, hun." Seungmin's nose slightly brushed his neck as the older one said that. A small silence spread around them, despite the continuous announcement that echoed through the big hall.He wouldn't mind, nor would he be surprised, if this boy in his arms would stay quiet. That's what he expected. That's what would probably, most likely happen. That's—
"I love you."
Chan looked down, only seeing the top of a brunette head. His jaw was slightly lowered, eyes sparking and sparkling. Oh wow, he really fucking missed me. "Was it that bad in the states?", the wide-shouldered joked. His hand found its way to the brown hair.
Seungmin's voice got more firm, but definitely not more serious. Chan has learned to differentiate between the two. "You know what? I'll never say I love you ever again; fuck you.", the younger said. Once again he couldn't help but laugh when he heard it. "Alright, alright, here.", Chan pressed a kiss onto the lips of the other before looking him in the eyes. "I love you, too."
But Seungmin took his backpack, put an insulted expression on his face. "No way. That was too late." With a last look he started walking away. Chan snickered: "I got us everything we need to make samgyeopsal." The grin on the younger's face was somehow visible although he wasn't even facing him.
His boyfriend turned around his head, just to see whether Chan was being serious. Latter only nodded reassuringly. "Thought you might've missed Korean cuisine." Those words made Seungmin's smile even brighter and he paused to place a quick kiss on the blonde's lips.
"Now when it's about food, you're all nice again?"
"Indeed, I am."
Chan shook his head in fake disbelief. Nevertheless he grabbed the suitcase, then started walking after the brunette, who was laughing in the most adorable way. Gosh, I love that laugh... I love that boy...When Seungmin didn't stop giggling however, the older sighed and rolled his eyes, still with a grin on his face.
"Just wait until we're home."
