Pacific Rim Headcanons #4
How Chuck and Tendo would react to a S/O who likes to dance constantly

Chuck
The two of you are on top of the shatterdome, having a picnic with a radio stereo set up beside the checkered blanket. 'Dream a Little Dream of Me' by Ella Fitzgerald starts playing and you stand, tugging at his hand.
"Come on Chuck!"
"I'd rather not," he says.
You frown. "Why not?"
"Y/N, this is like the seventh time you asked to dance to some random song."
"So?"
"So I kinda want to sit down for a little and enjoy being away from my dad." He continues, his head rolling back to look up at the cloudy sky.
Your lips start to quiver and big crocodile tears start to fall from your eyes. "You know that this could be the last time we ever do this right? Every single time you going out in Striker—"
"Ok, ok! Jesus Y/N," Chuck says, standing up. "You know, you should've went to a performing arts school instead of enlisting in the PPDC."
A grin splits your face as you pull him closer to you and start to sway to the beat.
"Why did I marry you..." he mumbles right by your ear.
"Because no one else would deal with your bulls***. Now go a little faster, you're off beat."

Tendo
Both of you are alone in the LOCCENT control room, monitoring the Breach. Everyone else had gone on break or were off somewhere, but were due to return momentarily.
'Come and Get Your Love' by Redbone started playing in the background on the radio that a few other officers had set up a few weeks back.
You immediately get up from your chair, Tendo looking at you from the corner of his eye.
"Y/N, I love you, but you need to stop and get some work done instead of dancing to the songs that come over the radio."
"I did get my work done," you say. "Some of it anyways. And besides, I really need to stretch my legs, and so do you."
Tendo sighs but doesn't say anything more, and just stands up and goes to you, the two of you twirling to the beat. Thanks to the ballroom dancing classes you guys signed up for before the wedding, you and Tendo managed to keep in sync, with each other and the music.
Eventually, the music fades out, and you both stop. "Got it all out of your system?" Tendo asks.
You shrug. "Maybe."
Quiet clapping comes from the doorway, and you guys turn to see a few of your coworkers standing there. Both of you turn slightly red.
"How long have you guys been standing there for?"
