It started on a sunny day I was in a shop the shop keeper was talking to someone and I shove some candy in my pocket he looks at me
Shopkeep: hey kid what you think your doing I panic and run out the store straight into a cop
Cop: hey whoa kid what's the rush
Just then the shop keeper comes out of the store and looks furious
Shopkeep: he just tried to steal
Me: fuck I mutter
The cop shakes his head
Cop: C,Mon kid
He says grabbing my hand and taking me to his car
Later that night I'm sitting in the cop station I look up at a sign saying Crawford police station here to help
Me: some help they provide
Just then the door opens and I see the girl I know to well I smile
Me: hi Molly
She rolls her eyes the cop comes over
Cop: Molly
Molly: pig what was it this time
Cop: don't and he was cought stealing candy
She just laughs
Molly: can we leave
Cop: yeah yeah but he needs to stop this bullshit
Molly: woah Young ears
Cop: oh please just take him
Molly: gladly C,Mon kid let's leave this pig to his dounts
I sniker and leave with Molly Molly is a close family friend.
We get out onto the lively night street
Me: is dad mad
Molly: nah he understands just next time don't get cought yeah?
Me: of course
We walk down the street until we get to our apartment building Molly drops me off and we say our goodbyes I walk in and hear my step mom and dad in the kitchen
Stepmom: honestly Gary he's a deleqent we should send him to that baording school they'll teach him some disaplin
Dad: C,Mon love he just needs time he lost his mom not that long ago maybe try and bond with him
Stepmom: he took a knife to school and tried to stab someone
I walk past them and slam my bedroom door not to long I hear a knock on my door
Dad: son?
Me: it's unlocked
He walks in and sits next to me
Dad: how much of that did you hear
He said softly
Me: enough to know she hates me
Dad: she doesn't hate you she just-
Me: dad stop she hates me and I'm ok with that I just I just miss mom
I start to tear up
He hugs me and leaves
