Real-world, 11 hours before the choosing ceremony. 

Girl: "But moooom, I don't want to go to sleep, I want to stay up to watch the knight and his sister"

This was said by the most normal person in her school, who is, unfortunately, our protagonist for this story. Her name was Nora, she had blue eyes and black hair, and she was currently protesting an unfair bedtime. 

Nora's mom: "I think 10 pm is a fair time to go to sleep. Plus it'll still be there tomorrow"

Nora: "But"

Nora's mom "No buts go to sleep. Or you won't be watching it tomorrow either"

Nora: "Fine,"

Nora's mom: "Thank you"

Her mother leaves, as Nora goes to sleep she is excited, the main reason she wanted to stay up was to finish re-watching the show in preparation for the new season coming out tomorrow, she was so excited for tomorrow to see if any of her theories were correct, little did she know that, by some big cosmic screw-up, she was at the center of the big mystery of the show, she just needed to become a character of the show.

Isates, 1 hour before the choosing ceremony. The first indicator that there was something wrong was the difference between what Nora was sleeping on, she didn't remember going to sleep on concrete. Opening her eyes, she noticed she was not in her room anymore. She was in a mostly empty room except for a pedestal with something on it. She notices that instead of the pajamas she wore when she went to sleep, she is now wearing an outfit she would wear while outside the house, consisting of a grey hoodie and pants. As she looks around trying to figure out where she is she notices the pedestal. As she looks towards the pedestal she hears a voice

Voice: "Come"

Every cell in her body tells her to go towards the pedestal. As she does, she notices that there is a sword on the pedestal. Suddenly guards burst into the room.

Guard: "Step away from the pedestal"

Voice: "RUN"

Nora complies and starts running towards the pedestal

Guard: "After her,"

As she gets to the pedestal, she picks up the sword to defend herself but is immediately detained

Guard: "The queen will want to know about this"

Nora is taken to the throne room swearing at the guards the whole way there, as she enters she continues

Nora: "Let me go you assholes"

Queen: "And who is this"

It was at this moment that Nora realizes where she was, she was inside her favorite show and she was currently in front of Queen Akira, suddenly Nora goes quiet.

Guard: "We don't know. But she picked up the sword"

Queen Akira: "You mean that sword"

Guard: "Yes ma'am"

Queen Akira gets off the throne and walks up to Nora.

Queen Akira: "Well if that's the case that means that you are a beloved guest, not a prisoner. Guards release her"

The guards do as told

Queen Akira "So what is your name"

Nora: "I'm Nora... and I think I'm from another world"

Queen Akira: "Oh? What makes you think that" 

Nora: "Because I remember you being a character from my favorite show"

Queen Akira:

"Oh, that seems like some good proof"

Suddenly two people burst into the room

Girl: "Auntie, we came as fast as we could" 

Nora immediately recognizes them as the main character Hiroto and his sister Rei

Queen Akira: "Calm you two, this is an important guest, for she is the one who the sword chose"

Hiroto: "I'm sorry, I must have misheard you, I thought you said that the sword chose someone" 

Queen Akira: "You heard correct"

Both Siblings: "WHAT"

Hiroto: "I don't believe it, provide proof you were chosen"

Queen Akira: "Let's go to the sword's room, she can prove it there" 

With that, they go back to the room Nora appeared in. When they arrive in the room the sword is sitting on the floor from when the guards arrested Nora

Queen Akira: "Go on, take the sword"

Nora: "OK then"

She picks up the sword again

Hiroto: "wha- HOW... How did she get chosen, how did this intruder get chosen"

Nora: "I'd replace intruder with nerd, but don't worry, I'm used to this kinda reaction to my presence, here, you have it"

She hands the sword to him

Hiroto: "No, it doesn't work like that, it chose you so you alone can wield it"

Nora: "Then why can you hold it"

Hiroto: "I dont know, here sis you try"

Hiroto hands it to Rei and it immediately is attracted to the ground like a magnet,

Rei: "Strange, Perhaps there is some kind of permission system, try picking it back up and you passing it to me" 

Nora: "ok then"

Nora does as is told and this time Rei can hold it fine

Rei: "Interesting, here you go"

Rei gives the sword back

Nora: "Oh, thanks"

Queen Akira: "Well, since your so important, and you don't have anywhere to go, how about you live here" 

Nora: "Oh, err, ok then, I guess I'll stay if I can"

Queen Akira: "Great, I'll make sure a room is prepared for you, But for now you should train with my niece and nephew"

Nora: "Yes ma'am"

Queen Akira "Aww, you're so cute, please, just call me Akira"

Nora: "OK then Miss Akira"

Akira: "Good enough, Now go, go and learn the way of the blade"

Nora, Hiroto and Rei leave so Nora can learn how to use a sword
