Another day, Lyney sat on his bed, looking down on his hat as he contemplated everything he's done to try to make you fall for him.

Small gestures of affection, gifts, magic shows just for you. Yet nothing seemed to work - to him at least.

He groaned and flopped down onto his bed, then an idea hit him.

Actually he's been doing this tactic for a long time now.

It was your regular "hangout with Lyney" day so you met up with him near the shore.

You then see him approaching you with a smile on his face. "Good morning ma cherie" he said with a bow, kissing your hand.

"Good morning Lyney" you said. You always wondered why he called you ma cherie, despite knowing what it means but you didn't mind.

After all, it made your heart feel all tingly.

"I have a special surprise for you today ma cherie" he said, holding out a blindfold for you to take.

"Care to join me?"

You agreed and Lyney put the blindfold. "Don't look now" he said, adjusting it for you. "But- now I can't see.." You said.

"I'm here for you ma cherie" he said as he took your hand in his. "I always will" he said in a whisper which legitimately made butterflies in your stomach fly.

He guided you to a place a little outside of Fontaine. Where flowers were littered everywhere and the breeze was calm. It felt soothing.

"You can take off the blindfold" He said, his hand still holding yours. You slowly took off the blindfold, letting your eyes adjust to the light you see a picnic blanket laid out.

A basket lying on top it.

"Wow.. Lyney, this is amazing" you said, still trying to process all of this. No one had ever done this for you... Ever.

"You seemed busy lately so I figured you could use a break-"

He got cut off with a sudden hug from you. "Thank you Lyney.."

His face flushed a little but he hesitantly hugged you back. "No problem ma cherie"

"Now, would you like to eat?" He said, letting go of the hug. "Yes please, I didn't eat breakfast today" you said.

"My, my, ma cherie you should really stop forgetting to eat breakfast.." He said a little worried while he sat down on the blanket. "Ah it's fine.." You answered, sitting across him.

"Here have this" he gave you your favorite dessert and your eyes practically lit up. "He remembers!"

"Thank youu" you said, as you gladly accepted the dessert and started eating it.

"You know Lyney.. You do the sweetest things for me.. How can I ever make it up to you?" You said in between bites.

"There's no need for that ma cherie, as long as your here it's already enough payment."

You laughed lightheartedly and a smile came across your lips.

"You always say the sweetest things.. It's cute" you said, finally finishing your dessert.

"I- I suppose I have my charms" He stammered over his words, simple compliments from you could do so much to him..

He poured both of you drinks and gave you your glass. You were deep in thought for a moment before raising your glass.

"To the both of us, here's promise that we'll never be apart"

He chuckled and played along. "To us" you both touched your glasses and took a sip. With smiles on your faces.

You were slowly but surely falling for him
