i was looking through old stuff i wrote and i found this thing i never elaborated on but i think ill post it just because i like to see how my writing style changed :)
A young boy living in an isolated district, he lives an ordinary everyday life with his grandmother. And even so, in the longing, foreboding nights has the same reoccurring dream of an empty, dark room with a wooden table, chair and a black, dusty typewriter.
Every time, he is drawn closer, and forced to watch it speak to him.
The black ink sings to him, as a poem. Warning him about a prophecy that is yet to be fulfilled, but as the night concludes, he is only left wanting to know more, as the type writer only delivers him one line each night.
He tries to warn the people of the town that they have trouble coming to them, but they all laugh and brush him off; after all, his parents' legacies were only full of lies and treacherous deceit to the folk.
They all consider sending him off to a mental institution to clean his messed-up head.
One night, the typewriter is replaced with photographs of bloodied, dismembered and disemboweled children and families, and the beast behind it all. He reluctantly decides to visit a woman claiming to be a "traveller."The woman tells him that in order to find the resolution, he must consider "sleep-walking" - A term for living in your thoughts consciously. As it's a long process, and hard also, he must race against the ticking clock before he is sent away, or next in line for a one way ticket to the morgue.
But what if the beast...
Is the one guiding him?
This is a hopefully successful attempt at psychological, gothic/grim horror with dark humour, a kooky side-kick and a protagonist who isn't afraid to resort to animosity.
After all, it's in his blood.
yk if i could go back in time id slap myself for using the word kooky bcs oh my god whats was i THINKING!!!!
