6 - acceptance

Yujin's POV :

"What do you mean by that?" I ask with a pinch of nervousness in my voice, my eyes wander on Wonyoung's face, I have never seen her like this.

"I don't hate you, I never did. Even after everything you've done to me." She says as she clenches her fists. Miyeon and Liz look at us weirdly. "Then why would you cry, Wony?" Miyeon asks Wonyoung quietly, I look at her and my lips part, I want to say something but it's stuck in my throat.

Liz suddenly nervously chuckles. "Don't tell me that you actually wanted to get along with her." Liz points at me and Wonyoung just keeps looking at me sadly.

The sudden realization hits me, I feel a weird feeling in my stomach, is it regret? I can't help but stare at Wonyoung's trembling lips, as if she wanted to say something, but can't, just like me.

I close my eyes and sigh deeply. I have never felt regret after hurting someone, why is it like this with her? All I can hear is Miyeon whispering some words to Liz, she angrily nods her head and they suddenly leave the room. My eyes go wide as I notice that I am in the room with Wonyoung, wondering why the hell would they leave me and her there.

I notice that Wonyoung is fidgeting with her hands and nervously looking at me. "Do you want me to apologise or what." I say shyly, I can't act cool when I am with her only, I don't want to be mean to her anymore, but I don't think I want to be friends with her either, I just want to.. ignore her.

Wonyoung bites her lip and shakes her head. "No.. I should be the one apologising, I didn't know why I thought I'd actually be friends with you, Miyeon warned me, but I didn't listen. I'll keep my distance from you." Wonyoung looks at the ground as these words leave her mouth. The only thing that catches my attention is that Miyeon warned her.

"Miyeon warned you and you still wanted to be friends with me?" I chuckle nervously and actually feel a hint of sadness, I feel that she has hoped so hard for becoming friends with me.

She annoyingly looks at me. "Do you not get it?" She rolls her eyes, I look at her confusedly.

"I liked you!"
