01 What's Your Emergency?

They say, true love can withstand any storm, even though that love is somewhat crazy and full of madness. This love story is not the most perfect or ideal ever. This is just a piece of a love story about how Taehyung and Jungkook met, which is colored by blood, madness, crime and intense love that surpasses all limits; including common sense and logic.

"911, what's your emergency?" Taehyung had asked that question countless times in his daily life. His job requires him to do that.

Taehyung Kim is a lonely Korean-American 911 dispatcher. He wants to find a partner. He longs for that intimate connection and meaningful relationship.

He craves romance, some sort of attachment, engagement and involvement with someone he loves and reciprocally loves him back. He desperately missed all of those tingles, the beautiful sensation of the excitement of falling in love and the passionate desire to make love with the lover he dreamed of to death.

But unfortunately, he doesn't have that kind of privilege in the real world.

This didn't happen because he was socially awkward or something. Taehyung was attractive, even good-looking. He received many compliments for his physical beauty.

There's nothing wrong with him. He just hasn't been lucky in love. And he sometimes isn't very confident considering he tends to be an introvert rather than an extrovert.

His social life is not at its peak. Both of his parents died in a plane crash when he was 18 years old. He has no friends or lovers, even though he really wants one.

Okay, he probably has some good friends. He has Sio, Saena, Aran, and Keena. They were friends from his childhood and high school, and also some of his former co-workers. Unfortunately, they all now live in different cities.

Taehyung is an only child. There are no uncles and aunts or siblings. His grandmother died of cancer some years ago. He is not that close to the other members of his family. So, he was alone.

His routine is a bit monotonous and boring sometimes. However, he appreciates his duty because at least he can help people. As a 911 dispatcher, he will receive calls from people who are in emergency situations such as accidents, fire, crime, and things like that.

As 911 dispatcher slash operator, his job is to ask The Five Ws questions: Where, What, Who, When, and Why?

And that's including: Where are you? Where is the scene? What happened? Who's involved? Is anyone hurt? When did it happen? Is it going on right now? Why? And so on with some follow up questions.

Dispatchers ask all of these questions to help give responding police officers a plan to take action and to give responding firefighters or paramedics an idea of specific fire/ medical equipment they will need upon arrival. This helps them to effectively provide the best care for a victim(s) or patient(s).

The 911 dispatchers need to know the phone number of the person that is calling them and the nature of the emergency and its details, such as a physical description of a person who may have committed a crime, any fire that may be burning, or injuries or symptoms being experienced by a person having a medical emergency.

In general, that's the overall picture of Taehyung's work every day.

And now, what's the emergency?

Well, for Taehyung, there are several problems he is currently facing. His boss, Jaehyun, acts so annoying and irritating almost all the time. Jaehyun is actually dating Danielle, Taehyung's roommate.

The house inherited from his parents is big enough for him to live in by himself. That's why he rented out one of his rooms to Danielle, his co-worker who needed a place to stay.
