the wind blew the roses on the front bush of her house. the house, much too lonely for a small town attraction, stood waiting with a quiet girl on its porch. a backpack had made its way into her everyday attire and now hung loosely on her shoulder. fatigue was obvious in the poor girl's posture, her lavender, once blonde, hair covered half of her soft face. the river nearby screamed in agony, and it did nothing to soothe her weighted heart. she sighed once. "how long are you going to watch?"

"and where may that be?"
"i'm not sure yet." he shrugged.
"to infinity and beyond, eh?" she chuckled.
"infinity has no end, but this sadly does. would you like to come?"
"to some unknown destinations with a stranger? let me think on that."
"think fast."
"then it's time to go isn't it?" she asked, standing up and jumping off the porch.
"indeed it is."
