Chanel pov
"Move back home, be Chief Resident. We can switch jobs" i said annoyed crawling through the tunnel
"What's that, Nel?" Buck asked through the walkie talkie
"i said i love my job. I think i hear the saw" i saw crawling a little further
There was a clock, connected to a wire, and the wire was connected to a saw that was on the celling of the tunnel
"Okay, im at the clock, what do i do now, Cecil?" I asked through the phone
"is it set for midnight?" he asked as i looked at the clock
"yeah, its at midnight"
"So.. move it to 11:11"
"copy"
"Turn the clock to ease the tension on the trop wire. Remember, that clock can set off other traps in the house" he said as some books fell
"Nel, you ok?" Hen asked as i nodded
"yeah, im-im good. setting the clock to 11:11"
"Do it slowly"
"okay, its at 11:11!" I said as the clock went off and the saw slowly slowed down.
"Its off" I said before moving forward.
"Cecil? Cecil, can you hear me?" I asked after a few minutes
"hello?"
"Cecil?" i asked once more
"Oh, yeah, yeah, over here" he called, as i got out of the tunnel and stood up
"Oh my God" I whispered, there was tv's, books, paper, clocks, lamps, everything everywhere
"Where? where are you? Are you here?"
"yeah, one second, im coming" I said stepping over stuff to get over to his side
"Thank you. Thank you. thank you so much" he said grabbing my hands as i crouched down next to him
"now-now you have to help me find my brother.
"I will, i will"
"yeah, help"
"Stay here, im gonna open a window so i can see better and find your brother faster, and we can safely get you out"
"o-okay"
He was talking about how his parents passed and he got the house, and he had to protect it and began to cry, as i was taking wood off of the windows
"hey, its okay, i promise. im gonna find your brother and we're gonna get you out" I said holding his hands as he nodded, everyone else was outside making a path to Winslow and Cecil
"i got him! He's over here!" I called as Chim and Hen rushed over to me
"you're gonna be alright, right. We got you" Hen said as i crouched next to him
"Try to keep still. Someone grab my bag?!" I called as Hen nodded
"Is my brother okay?" he asked looking at me
"Cecil is okay, we got him, but try not to move, okay?"
"Hey, we're gonna flip you over onto this back board, okay? And we're gonna get you and your brother to a hospital" I explained as he nodded
"One. two. three. Flip"
"ow!" he yelled as we flipped him over onto the back board
"I see blood, im gonna check it out" I said putting gloves on and moving down to his leg
Chim handed me the scissors as i cut his sweatpants up to where the blood was seeping through
"Ooh" Chim said looking at it
"Okay, wait. We got a compound fractured tibia, penetrated to the skin" i said taking his shoe off as it was cutting flow
"Slight discoloration below the break" Buck said
"Now blood flow?" he asked as i nodded
"I need to check the dorsalis pedis pule. Bobby wrap his head" I said tossing him some gauze wrap
"No pule" i said after checking
"He could lose his leg"
"Fuck, okay, we need to realign it, reestablish blood flow"
"Okay, Buck, Chim, and I can stabilize it. Nelly do your thing, Chim and Hen help her" My dad explained as we all nodded
"Winslow, im so sorry. This is gonna hurt so bad"
"Okay hold him still, Chim put your hands here dont go up to far" I said as he nodded
"Hen grab his foot and keep it up"
"One, two, three!" I said before moving his leg straight, as his bones cracked and he yelled
"Dont move it!" I said grabbing his leg as he was trying to move
"I need to put gauze on it to stop the blood" i said grabbing the wrap and hurriedly wrapping it
"hard part it over. now we got to get you to the hospital"
"Strap him in" bobby added as everyone moved to strap him to the back board
"i-i cant leave... i cant leave my brother!"
"Hey, hey, calm down, okay? you're doing great"
"Ready?"
"yeah"
"We're gonna get you out of here, sir" Hen said looking at him
"You're gonna be fine, Winslow"
"ready?" he said as we all lifted the board up and made our way to the front door
"No! I cant leave, i cant leave my brother!" He yelled as we past him
"im here. Im here, Winslow! Just let them take care of you"
"I wont leave you, Cecil" he yelled reaching his hand out
"you dont have to. you dont have to. im-im coming" he said as Chim rushed over to help him
We had gotten Cecil and Winslow to the hospital, and some extended time to stay there until his leg is fully healed so when they go home is legs healed and he can take care of his brother
The next day i was working at the hospital, i had just gotten done with a stab wound surgery, i let out a breath coming out of the room they took off my gloves and cover as i smiled in thanks before leaving and heading down to the main area
"- well you cant, shes doing a surgery" i head Ari say to someone as i raised my eyebrows confused
"Who are you talking to Ari?" I asked looking at her, and then behind her to see Buck
"What are you doing here?" I asked looking at him, putting the paperwork down
"Came to see you, maybe have lunch?" he asked as i smiled a little
"I'd love to, but i cant leave. I have a heart surgery in 30 minutes" I said sitting in the chair as he leaned over the desk
"Well, we can eat here if you want?" He asked as Ari wiggled her eyebrows at me
"Yeah, give me one second to finish this" I smiled at him
