"..Snufkin..." Moomintroll said to himself in a sharp whisper. He was quite enthusiastic about finally having his best friend back in the valley. He immediately stood up and walked over to his window to open it. He eagerly poked his head out, squinting at the bright sun.

He simply couldn't wait for Snufkin to return, it was like this every year though. A few moments pass of Moomin looking out the window and feeling the warmth of the sun on his face before little my burst into his room.

"Mamma's making breakfast, she's nearly done!" My said, in her usual loud and prominent tone. "You'd better come down to eat." She continued, tapping her foot and holding on to the door handle.

"Alright, I'll be down in a moment." Moomin replied, with a bright smile as he turned to look over at Little My. "You'd better hurry, then." she insisted as she walked out of the room without closing the door, headed back downstairs in almost a rush wanting to get her hands on mamma's food. Moomin stayed in his room for a few more minutes to soak in the fresh, spring air before he too started feeling a bit hungry.

"Good morning, Mamma!" Moomin spoke with a bright and happy tone. "What's for breakfast?" He continued.

"Pancakes, dear. Why don't you help Little My set the table?" Moominmamma suggested in her soft and sweet voice. "Yes ma'am." Moomin replied, before walking out of the kitchen and into the dining room to help little my.

Just as the two were finishing up with setting the table for breakfast, Moomin could swear he faintly heard something familiar. He took a moment to listen again, just to make sure he actually heard something. He did, it was coming from outside, it was a very pretty sound, too. He felt something he'd not experienced before, a strange, new feeling he could only really describe as a tightness in his chest, but a rush of excitement was what he felt more than anything else. He nearly ran out the door, eager to hear if his assumptions were correct, the melody grew louder with each moment he stood out on the verandah. "Snufkin!" Moomin exclaimed, very eager to see his friend again, he began running down the path to the bridge, his pace growing faster with each moment he was closer to reuniting with Snufkin.

Snufkin POV~

I was nearly there in Moominvalley, so I decided I would take my harmonica out if my bag to play my new spring tune. This year's tune is a bit warmer than last year's, it captures the essence of how things are a lot of the spring, warm, happy, comfortable. Even whenever it storms, there's always a warm feeling there.. overall a pleasant season, really, possibly my favorite. Not long after I started to play, I could see Moominhouse, and that also happened to be whenever I heard a familiar voice call out to me from ahead. I picked up my pace a little, as I could tell exactly who it was. It's hard to describe what I felt as I heard this, an unfamiliar feeling washed over me and it was quite unpleasant in a way. I saw Moomintroll sprinting towards me from across the valley, I could feel my heart rate rise a bit, I was probably just excited is all. Suddenly I felt a hard impact to my torso which knocked my breath out and would have knocked me over if I hadn't been grabbed as tightly as I was.
