Scout yelped in surprise as he collided with Heavy in one of the halls leading to the Medbay. . Here he was, bat in hand, ready to swing it into the snout of that....that thing, only to run face first into the largest man on their team. "The hell is wrong with you?!" he shouted, pushing himself back to his feet as he did. Heavy was facing in the direction Scout had run from...away from the Medbay. He started to question it, but Heavy beat him to it. "Doctor needs no help." Scout raised an eyebrow slightly as the man walked by. "Needs no- You left him alone with that thing?!" Scout turned and scowled at Heavy. But he wasn't expecting Heavy to raise a hand, point to the hallway behind Scout, and say "That thing heard you." before turning and walking away. Scout rolled his eyes. "Yeah right! With how many times I hit that thing, it shouldn't be alive! Let alone walkin'!" Scout smirked and turned to walk towards the Medbay.
But he was stopped in his tracks by the presence of a large wolf standing 10 feet away. It stood on all fours, merely looking at Scout with tired eyes. He swallowed, doing his best not to show fear as it took steps towards him, it's strange paws clicking softly on the concrete floor as it did. "Hey don't come any closer, pal! I'll give you another one to go with the nose!" Scout stepped back, bat raised to strike. But try as he might, he could only watch as the wolf stepped to the side, walked past him, and kept going silently. He pulled his arm free from a grip he couldn't see, and scowled. "The hell was that for?! It could have killed me!" he watched as Spy uncloaked, standing with his back to the hall, facing Scout. "That "thing", whether we like it or not, is a team member now." Scout couldn't believe what he was hearing. First it tried to kill Pyro, and now they were supposed to fight with it?! "Spy, do you hear yourself right now?! That thing's not a-" Scout was cut off. "You read the papers all the same as everyone else. And besides, were you not on Pyro's side earlier about bringing it in to begin with?" Scout crossed his arms. "Well, yeah, but that was before-" "save your excuses. I will be looking into the issue. For now, you make friends." ....WHAT?! "Spy, you gotta be kiddin' me! How am I supposed to make friends with that?!" he grumbled as Spy lit one of his cigarettes, and slid the lighter back into his pocket. "I don't care how. The less it knows, the more time I have. Save your energy for if you need it, and make friends with it." Scout grumbled. "Yeah yeah, whatever." Scout froze Midstep. "Hey wait a second! why do you need time?" but Spy was already gone. Scout hated when he did that.

"Find out anything about our new...teammate?"
Medic had become used to Spy appearing and disappearing at will, so the sudden appearance was no surprise. He couldn't contain his excitement as he nodded. "Yes! He defies all nature! I've never seen anyzhing with a system such as his! Skeletal or ozhervise!" Spy rolled his eyes slightly. He knew that Medic knew that wasn't what he meant. "You know what I meant, doctor. I meant anything that could...incriminate him." Spy stayed in his spot by the door. While he trusted Medic's cleaning abilities, there was still no telling what could remain on those floors. "Vell...no. He's quite kept to himself." well that was no help. "Well a secret's worth depends on the people it must be kept from." Spy saw Medic hesitate slightly beforehe spoke. There was clearly more. "Oh come now, Spy. the poor zhing's been zhrough enough already! Zhe last zhing he needs is his own team turning against him before day one!" Spy was annoyed with the doctor's approach. They had all seen what that thing, that...that monster, had done to Pyro. how long did they have until those teeth were locked onto someone else? "You can't be serious. After what it did to Pyro?" Spy pulled one of his cigarettes from his case, and brought it to his mouth. "How long until it bites one of us?" Medic sighed, and brought a finger and thumb to the bridge of his nose. "You seem to be forgetting that he is a volf. What exactly do you expect an animal to do vhen it's cornered?" Spy inhaled slightly. "You shooting him certainly didn't earn you any brownie points." he saw Medic begin to put papers back into the red folder. "He's one of us, Spy. like it or not, ve may very vell be the only people he can trust. And now zhe rest of us have to fix that trust." Spy closed his case and slipped it back into his suit. "And zhat's another zhing! Vhy the hell did you shoot him?!" Spy's response was instant. "How was I to know it wouldn't attack?" Spy was becoming irritated. He knew that Medic knew something more. .He had to. And so he continued.
"You of all people should be well versed, given your...experience with things of his type."
Spy knew he may have been pushing too far. But his best results were yielded under pressure. As expected, Medic's face instantly shot up to look at him, his body almost instinctively going into defense mode. "I've told you never to bring that up." he spat out with all the venom of a viper. But Spy knew he was pushing in the right direction. Albeit, it was the wrong one at the same time. "It vas a long time ago, and you know zhat." Spy took a drag off of his cigarette, and exhaled the nicotine smoke. "And yet you don't deny your experience." Spy smirked slightly. "When have I ever asked for information that wasn't relevant?" he saw Medic's eyes narrow slightly as he spoke. "He's new. An infant compared to us. And yet for some strange reason, you seem to be changing your tune. Weren't you against the idea of him being brought in?" Spy saw the anger building in Medic's eyes. 'Just a little further' he thought to himself. "Zhat was before we knew he vas like us!" Bingo. "Like us? see, now you've changed your words, Doctor." Spy ground out the butt of his cigarette. "First he was one of us, and now he's only like us." Spy took a step forward. The possibly dirty floor could wait. He was close to a breakthrough. "What makes him different other than the fur?" Spy saw Medic's eyes widen. He had slipped, and he knew that. And now he knew that Spy knew that, too. "...He can't Respawn."
And there it was. So the creature couldn't avoid death like the rest of them. "So...he only has one chance?" he saw Medic nod slightly. "Ja. vhether it's because he's a canine, or somezhing else entirely, he can't be brought back like ve can." Spy smiled slightly. "That's all I need." he turned to leave, but a thought struck him. One he decided was worth sharing. "Oh, and Doctor?" he heard Medic's annoyed "Vhat."
"If our dear...friend, is incompatible with the Respawn...why would Mann. Co send him out here to begin with?"
