And So it all Begins

Rui had a strangely wonderful dream last night. He was sitting on the edge of a tall building, thinking of ending it all. But before he could, a young blonde man, just simply enjoying the view, swiftly noticed when Rui was ready to jump off. The man ran over to him, his hair floating around him, as if in a little enclosed bubble, grasping tightly onto Rui's shirt.

"No.. please..! Don't go!" 

The man tightly gripped Rui's shoulders and gave him some life-changing advice. It ended with that... orange fellow ranting to Rui about his life and how his uncle also ended his own life, advising him not to do the same. The man was in tears and fell to his knees, and the young man uttered these last words

"Please. Do it for me, if nothing else."

Rui quickly woke up and sat up again, on his bed. He let out another disappointed sigh.

"Hmph."

I guess I shouldn't expect too much... Dreams are dreams, after all." You could tell that Rui had been so used to being left out and being a loner, that he didn't even have any display of interest in almost anything.

But he still believed in his dream, no matter what.

Rui ate his breakfast reluctantly. The day did not seem so good, as his mom prepared him an egg sandwich with extra veggies in it.

"Stop being such a picky eater and just eat it, goddammit!" His mom was clearly in a deteriorated state, as she was arguing with Rui's long-lost dad over the phone last night. Even Rui could hear her all the way from downstairs.

In return, Rui whimpered and forcefully gobbled down the sandwich, trying not to puke as he wolfed it down whilst his mom was staring at him.

Rui slid his fingers through his rucksack straps to wear it and licked his lips as if he wanted to do that to something else and someone else.

*Rui then repeatedly facepalmed himself* stop it.. stop being so horny, Rui!!!

He paused and displayed a flabbergasted facial expression as his mom passed by when he was saying that. 

"Rui, what did you just say?"

"Mom.. I was thinking about how hor- spiky and sharp my keychain of Hatsune Miku was, but the wrong word came out! Horny. What kind of word is that anyway..?"

Rui's mother's face clearly had some suspicion on it, but she decided to just let it go and brush it off. She barely had any time for him these days anyway.

Rui walked to school slowly 

he took a deep inhale and decided to enter his class.

He tried his best to look down at the floor shyly and not become a major figure in his class to avoid getting bullied, but one peculiar blonde-orange-haired young man waved to him.

"Hey, wanna sit next to me?~" He asked, politely.

Rui suddenly turned his head up and looked in the direction the pure, genuine and one-of-a-kind blonde-orange guy waved to him. 

Rui's heart was racing out of his chest, but then he paused for a moment and reflected. This boy seemed very oddly, eerily familiar...

The guy from his dreams! This peculiar man looked exactly like him! Around 170 cm, had orange eyes, and blondish-orangish hair and everything about him looked the same!

"Hey, I'm Tsukasa Tenma, World Future Star!"

Rui's face flushed to a deep red, and nervously waved back, as he had no intention of hurting the boy's feelings. He knew what it was like to get ignored, so he tried his best to befriend Tsukasa

"H..hey... Tsuk-a-sa..." Rui stuttered as he tried his hardest not to seem nervous, but it was obvious.

Tsukasa's head tilted in curiosity as he smiled. 

"Hey, you could tell me anything you know? You're my friend now~"

Rui's eyes widened. How can someone as bright as Tsukasa-kun... Consider Rui as a friend? He was in utter disbelief but all he could do was smile.

"Thank you Tsukasa-kun. That means a lot to me right now. 

Tsukasa offered for Rui to be his best friend. Rui accepted delightfully.
