FEELINGS AND DELUSIONS CLOUD YOUR mind as you try to practice your ballet for your dance recital in about a month or so.
"[y/n] is something wrong?" your dance instructor asks. usually she lets you do whatever because you always know what to do and how to be responsible.
"hm?" you turn your head to your instructor, before noticing that you have stopped mid-dance, "oh, um yeah i stopped because my leotard is uncomfortable. im going to—yeah"
"go ahead sweetie, go fix it if you'd like to"
and you rush to the bathroom to go and sit down to calm yourself. you hunch over and hold your face in your hands, groaning with frustration. "what is wrong with me"
taking a couple deep breaths, you force yourself to get out and continue your practice. you stand in the center of stage and immediately go into plié.
you had a dance recital in one month with one other girl to play the black and white swan for the performance. she gets to costume the black swan and you get the honors of the white swan.
i don't even think we're doing the full performance
but more of a modified, shorter version of it for us both
you get lost in the movements that you don't even hear the door open from behind you. but you're preoccupied and won't stop again to inspect who's at the door. you do a turn while in plié and as you do a 360, you get a glimpse of who's at the door and it catches you completely off guard.
you lose balance which sends you to the ground and you hit it with an agitated groan. "what's up?"
he waltz over to you with his dashing smile and helps you get off the ground. "that was amazing by the way" he lifts your hand and kisses each of your knuckles.
"you made me unfocused, i fell because of you"
"i just wanted to see you do ballet" he kisses your temple, "do you think i could come to your dance recital?"
no
absolutely not
"i think i could squeeze you in with my free tickets but you'll have to sit with my family" you say, you got a few free tickets as one of the performers and you wanted to invite your family but you would probably more consolidation by inviting other people.
"i could do that"
should i give him a fair warning
nah
i probably won't invite my family anyways
"i'll give you the tickets when it's coming up" and you turn by your hip to pop your back and stretch it out nicely. it pops but your bra clasp folds over and the tag folded over too which made you very uncomfortable.
