|Chapter 6|

I did a dick move. I know I did. Every fibre of my body told me to. Seeing her face, with dried tear stains made me want to jump in and get my ass beaten. I haven't used my byukugan in a while. Nor will I plan to. But my stomach was fueled with fire. I hated her. Why couldn't I be in Team 7? Not her.

I cup my cheeks, with both hands. It stings but I was furious. At myself. I'm not jealous, Why would i be? What does she have that I don't?

I look down. I remember Sasuke's body. He's not dead is he? Is Naruto dead as well? i mean- why should I care? Naruto and Sasuke were the people protecting Sakura. It means I can easily access her scroll.

Come to think of it, why didn't I take it from her? It would've been easier to join in and fight her already worn out self.

"M/n?" Shino says. I look up to him and smiled timidly.
"Uh yes?" I reply. I stared at the fire which we were surrounded at. Kiba was already asleep (Akamaru on Guard).

"Y-you were acting kind of of odd today." Hinata says. I look inside the bucket of water beside my foot staring at my already pale reflection. Was I acting weird? all I remember was making a fire and Team 7.

"what do you mean?" I ask. I mean, I can understand. Even i know I am acting odd. but not for the whole day. Sasuke And the others were on my mind.

"I mean... ever since yesterday you were acting odd." Hinata says worriedly. She was stuttering or mumbling. It then hit me. I was so involved in my own thoughts I hadn't even slept.

Just then, Kiba walked towards us while Akamaru slept in the cave.
"What are you?-" Kiba says. He stopped dead and stared at the fire. He lunged towards me and grabbed the bucket spilling it on the fire.

"What are you-" I shout. He grabbed me by the colar and shouted,
"Did you make the fire?" I nod still confused and a bit irritated. Hinata stood up and shino sat still. Hinata grabbed both of us and pulled us apart.

"What's your problem?" I shout. I got into the gentle fist position. Kiba growls at me.
"Trying to signal a team with smoke? Nice try Hyuga brat." He says. What does he have against me.

"You got it all wrong!" Hinata says. "We lit up a fire to stay warm, Kiba to stay warm!"
Kiba scoffed. Just then, Shino threw a rock at one of the directions of the trees. There was a rustle. Shino threw two more Kunai's. There was a thud. We peered through the darkness and saw that shino pinned a man on a tree. He was unconcious.

Hinata disappeared through the darkness, activating her Byukugan. and came back with no scroll.
"Good thing your argument and the fire attracted the enemy. We took down one less threat." Shino says. "And M/n." he looked at me.

"I thought you were smart enough to -"
"I KNOW." I shout. I stood up.
"I just haven't been in the right mindset. I'm just- I want to go to sleep." I walk over to the cave.

A couple of days go by, and we finally got our scroll. We made it over to the tower. and opened both of our scrolls and dropped it on the ground.
Only one thought crossed my mind.
"As much as I hate them.. I hope Team 7 makes it."
