"Have you got everything?" Dad asked as he hauled yet another box put of the house as I packed the last of my stuff in my bag.
"Yes sir!" I replied saluting sarcastically like I was talking to my drill sergeant.
"No need for the sarcasm son, just don't want to leave anything up to chance," Dad said again as he closed the trunk of the car and came back to the door.
I frowned as I grabbed my bag and closed the door to my childhood home for the last time.
I walked out the front door and took one last look before getting in the car and waited for my dad to lock up.
I dropped my bag on the floor in the backseat to which there was little room and just sat down.
Being a son of divorced parents sucks.
Dad locked the front door of the house and dropped the keys by the front door as he walked to the car.
"Alright son how about we get to it?" he asks starting the car.
"Yeah whatever," I said leaning on the door and looking out the window.
"Okay so the plan is we get to the new house and we'll meet your step-mother, and her two daughters..." Dad started but I stopped listening as I popped in my earbuds and played Watch the World Burn by Falling In Reverse.
Fitting my mood alright.
Driving past the neighbourhood just made me reminisce about my childhood and how happy we used to be me, mom, and dad.
Dad just had to ruin it by cheating on mom with his new wife.
Not even met her and already hate her.
Welp doesn't matter now as mom is out of the country and I have to stay here for 2 weeks while she's gone off 'travelling'.
When we got to the house I just sat there for a second before groaning and getting out to greet 'new mom'.
I followed my dad through the door and saw his wife who to be fair looks gorgeous.

I stood there watching her introduce herself and I just wasn't listening as I couldn't believe that my dad had bagged a woman like her so I was a bit flabbergasted.
She extended her hand and introduced herself again.
"Seo Yeji, well I guess it's L/N Yeji now huh?" she joked making me grimace at her nonchalant attitude towards being a home-wrecker.
I fake smiled as I grabbed her hand a shook it.
"Y/N L/N, your new son-in-law," I barely got out fake smiling.
She smiled back at me and said that she would now be making dinner when I got a call from one of my buddies.
