Creek Flower

Rusty was in the passenger seat of his older brother Diggers car. He was on his way to the creek to meet up with his friend indy for a picnic,where he planned to confess something to her he had wanted to confess since they both turned 12.

Digger: Hey rust bucket,are you okay?
You've been silent most of the ride.

Rusty: yeah,I'm just kinda nervous

Digger:It's just a picnic, why are you so nervous?

Rusty:Digger, can I admit something to you?

Digger:sure rust bucket,I'm your brother,you can tell me anything.

Rusty:I think I'm in love with indy,and I want to admit it to her today.

Digger:Huh,and all this time I thought you had a crush on jack.

Rusty:(hits his brother in the arm) Digger,I'm serious.

Digger:Hey rusty, it's perfectly normal for dogs your age to have these feelings. if you really love her like you say you do,just tell her,if you don't do it now,you may never get a chance to tell her again.

Rusty:I guess you're right…

Digger pulled his car into the parking lot of the park where Rusty grabbed the lunch he packed for the picnic and a blanket from the back seat and got out of the car.

Digger:Don't worry rust bucket,you'll do great.
The worst she can say is no.

Rusty:thanks Digger

Rusty walked through the park and started walking down the path towards the creek where Indy told him to meet her. He layed out the blanket on the ground, before he sat down on it and waited for Indy to arrive.

Rusty(in head) how am I gonna tell her? Do I just tell her the second she sits down? Does she feel the same towards me?

Indy woke up and got out of bed.
She was supposed to meet rusty at the creek at 11:00 and it was 10:25.
She put on her vest and went into the bathroom to fix her hair before going to the kitchen where her mother was making lunches.

Indys mom: Hey sweetie,I packed some sandwiches for your picnic at the creek.

Indy: thanks mom

Indys mom: you best be on your way,you're supposed to be there by 11 and it's already 10:30.

Indy: your right (hugs her mother),thanks mum,love you.

Indys mom: love you too sweetheart. Just make sure to be back by 2:00

Indy left her house and started walking towards the creek.
As she walked she started thinking about Rusty and what she was going to talk to him about.
Before she got to deep within her thoughts though,her friend chloe approached her and started talking to her

Chloe: Hey indy, where are you going?

Indy: Hey chloe, I'm meeting rusty at the creek for a picnic

Chloe: (puts on a smug face) ooh Indy is meeting rusty.
Is she gonna try and kiss him?

Indy: (blushes slightly) keep talking and I'll tell jack about your crush.

Chloe: (becomes wide eyed) I'll be quiet now

Indy: that's what I thought

Chloe: Well I gotta go now, I'm meeting Jack at the library later.
Cya indy.

Indy: cya chloe.

Indy then arrived at the creek and walked to where Rusty said he would meet her.
She saw rusty sitting on a blanket deep in thought.
