The first forty-five minutes were painfully silent with only the sound of the air conditioner and GPS audible. I quietly looked out of the window hoping to see a bear in the trees. I opened my mouth to say something but then immediately shut it. I didn’t know what to say. The two of us have absolutely nothing in common, and whenever I seem to open my mouth we get into a fight. I jumped a bit feeling the vibration of my phone. “Well, aren’t gonna answer it?” Everett asked. I side-eyed him and answered. “What Eden?” I growled. “I~,” She slurred. “Can’t find my phone~,” I took a deep breath and clenched my fist tightly, “Eden.” I Breathed. “Yea-” I cut her off. “You interrupted questioning and got me in trouble for that?!” I shouted. She giggled “So have you seen it?” She asked. “Have you checked your fucking hand!” I barked. Shuffling was the only audible thing I could hear. She giggled “You’re so smar-” I hung up, cutting her off. I took another deep breath before putting down my phone. Everett side-eyed me curiously. “Who was it?” he asked. I shot him a dirty look. He smirked. “Was that your girlfriend?” He asked in a teasing voice. I glanced over only to discover his smirk had grown bigger. “It’s my roommate.” I said calmly. “Sure it is.” He mumbled. Annoyed by his comment I rolled the window in order to prevent conversation. It worked. The next thirty minutes were pure silent. Perfect, I thought smiling a bit.

“Haru.” Said a throaty voice. I grumbled half asleep. “Get you’re ass up!” I flinched at the unexpected tone change. “I’m up, I’m up,” I mumbled rubbing my eyes. “We're here.” I opened the car door and stepped out I looked around at the seeming nothingness. Just trees and grass as far as the eye could see. The only exception was a small cabin. “How original…” I muttered “Hmm?” I Shook my head. “It’s nothing.” We started towards the house and ignored each other's presents. I knocked and waited at the red door. The door swung open and there stood a tall muscular man with beautiful hazel eyes and disheveled-chestnut hair. I pulled out my badge. “FBI,” I said flatly. “We would like to talk to you about you’re student Mey-Rin,” I Informed my tone still dull. “Oh?” He asked, running his hand through his fluffy hair and adjusting his round glasses. “Come on in.” He smiled gesturing to the inside of the house. I nodded to him entering the house with Everett. “I apologize for the mess.” He commented. I looked along the wall at the beautiful paintings of eyes, all different colors and sizes. “These are beautiful,” I  complimented pointing to the wall. “Thank you.” He grinned. “I did them myself.” he beamed. “Is that so?” I asked. He led Everett and me to what seemed to be the living room, with papers scattered across it. “Once again, I’m really sorry about the mess.” He chuckled scooping up a couple of packets. He placed them on the umber-colored coffee table. “You're welcome to take a seat.” He motioned to a small sofa. I nodded and sat down. Everett remained standing. I glanced over at him and narrowed my eyes. “ Do you have a bathroom I can use?” He asked. “Why of course!” He beamed. “The first door on the right.” He said pointing down a hallway. Everett nodded and set off. Axle sat down in the chair across from me. “So what would you like to discuss with me Ms.…?” He trailed off. “Sakura.” I finished. “Axle Samson.” He said holding out his hand. I shook it and gave a small smile. “So, your student,” I started. “Mey-Rin Arii was murdered.” He gasped “Was she really?” He questioned his eyebrows raised and his fingers against his lips. I nodded. “Can you tell me the events of May 13th?” I asked. “Of course!” he replied. “Let’s see…” He looked at the ceiling clearly thinking back to the day. “I remember teaching my classes and taking some planning time…” He trailed off. “ I do indeed recall seeing Mey-Rin that day, She asked about bringing up her grades, and I told her that it was the end of the semester and there was nothing I could do.” He finished. “I felt terrible, she looked so pitiful after I broke the news to her, and she ran out of my classroom in tears.” He shook his head in a regretting manner. “Mey-Rin was found mutilated. Scattered in the vents, with her eyes and heart missing.” I said flatly. His eyes widened and he covered his mouth. “That’s so…” He cut himself off shaking his head. “Yes, there have been many cases like this,” I continued trying to spark a reaction. “Where the hearts have been missing and the eyes…” This guy did it! I know he did! His surprised look melted into a cold stiff look. “If I didn’t know any better Ms.Sakara, I’d say you’re accusing me.” He said grimly.
