"Rice abhi dalu?" Shehnaaz questioned looking into screen of phone that was settled on kitchen's stab with support of glass. She was in her baby pink colour pyjamas and hair pulled up in messy bun with claw clip

"Haan na" Mrs zoriaz answered who was on other side of call, looking into screen with glasses on tip of nose and eyes squinted "Aram se" She added further, Shehnaaz nodded and did as per instructions of her mother

She doesn't know how to cook, only omelettes and tea she knows but months ago when she started living alone here Islamabad her mother start giving her online cooking lessons because she doesn't want her daughter to eat restaurant's food everyday also she should know cooking it will only help her. Shehnaaz has realised cooking isn't difficult or burden when you doing it out of interest. You will actually start enjoying it more

She's learning how to make biryani, it's one of favourite dish of Sidharth. He use to love it when her mother use to make it because mrs Ahmed always end up messing thing when she cooks desi food so he use to prefer her mother's biryani

"Shehnaaz?" Her mother called but she didn't respond, she kept staring at empty space with tears building in her eyes. How did they went from that to this?

There use to be no such day when he wouldn't text her or call her and tell her how he can't sleep without hearing her voice. He filled her with his love this much that she's finding it hard to heal, she can never move on from him she knows, how can she? It wasn't just two months love it has been there ever since she got to know what love means. He was always there for her

"Shehnaaz?"

She can't stand those unrecognisable expressions on his face and in his eyes when he's looking at her. She wants to hug him really bad and tell him how much she hates him for forgetting her out of all people. She won't forgive him for this nor she will forgive anyone else for letting them fall apart this easily, she knows she need to do this herself but all she needs was support for them both which she got from no one

"Sheh-"

"Ami mein baad mein baat krti hoon." She ended call even after hearing her mother protest

Tears those build in her eye's finally dropped as she slid down to sit on floor backed up against shelf, hugging her knees against her chest. She doesn't wanna cry in front of them anymore because she knows it's hard for them to see her cry this far from them where they can't do anything about. Everyone else has moved on so she doesn't wanna pull them back and hurt them

She glanced at phone in her hands. Her father was calling, mother probably told him and now he won't stop calling until she picks up and tell him she's doing fine. She wiped her tears and answered his phone call

"A-asalam-o-Alaikum baba" She tried to keep her voice as normal as she could but he can clearly tell she's crying

"Walaikumsalam beta kesi ho?" He asked

"Mein theek ap kese ho?" She questioned back after answering

"I'm good" He said

"Rahim ka Nikkah hai coming week tum ajao phir leave lekr" She knows this is just his excuse to call her back he really doesn't care if she attends her cousin's Nikkah or not
