You just started your new job at the police department in Racoon City, your childhood home. You were fresh out of the academy. It was your first day and you were already running late which wasn't a good impression. When you got to the station, you jumped out of your first gen mustang. It was a pretty old car, but it was your favourite and you patched it up. You rushed into the building and looked around at all the officers. "You're late." You heard a mans voice from your side and looked that way. His name was Leon Kennedy, going off the name plate on his chest. He was your superior officer, your mentor. You stood up straight as you turned your body to face him, "Sorry, sir." You apologized and addressed him politely. "Just make sure it doesn't happen again." He looked down at you as he spoke. "Come on, you're the new officer, right? Y/LN." He added. "Yes, I just finished the academy." You answered as you both walked towards the locker room. "Here's your locker." He gestured to an empty locker. "Meet me outside once you're done." You'd open the empty locker while you listened to him, nodding along to show you understood. He left the locker room and you'd put your bag in the locker before you took out your lock from the side pocket. You hooked the lock on and clicked it closed once you shut your locker. A few other officers made their way into the locker room as you left and made your way to the front. You were nervous, but the atmosphere made you feel good. You weren't in the academy anymore and it was the real deal now. You made your way outside to Leon who was waiting leaning on the side of the hood of a patrol car. He looked at you as you went towards him. "You'll learn as we go." He turned away and got in the drivers side. You quickly made your way around to the passenger side and got in the front passenger seat. As Leon started driving, you started to pick up a specific scent in the car. You gave a quick glance over to Leon, it wasn't a bad smell. It was kind of sweet. It reminded you of honey whiskey. The car came to a sudden stop and you looked at the man in the seat beside you. "Where are we?" He asked, keeping his eyes out the front of the car. "What do you mean?" You asked as you looked around. "What street are we on? What if I was shot and you needed to call for backup?" He turned to look at you and you quickly looked out the window, looking for street signs or anything familiar. You noticed the recognizable green sign on the corner of the street ahead. "Stafford Street, Sir." You looked back at him as you answered. You saw the corner of his mouth curve up into a smirk before he spoke, "Good."
