The perfect day 🥺❣️

I wasn't able to concentrate all day, the lecturers rambling 🗣️ didn't seem to bother me at this point. My entire thoughts were centered on planning for the rest of the day.

"Mind meeting up for dinner tomorrow?" I had asked the day before.... sweat pouring across my face😥

"Yeah, sure" A beautiful smile bloomed across her face 😁 and I had immediately gone numb.

Now, those words "yeah, sure" despite how simple and short they were seemed to taunt me 😨... My entire focus was making sure today was perfect 👌.

At exactly 16;00 , I dashed out of class 🏃, I didn't care that the lecturer still had to round up his 2 hour long lecture. I was home by 16:30, took my shower 🚿 and put on my best dress, a simple T-shirt 👔and my ripped jeans 👖. I brushed my hair till my hair almost fell off and after looking at the mirror for the thousandth and one time, I set off, off to face destiny 🧘.

On reaching her place, she was already dressed in this lovely blue gown 👗 that blew me away 🌬️🌪️..... Then it dawned on me, I was about to take a goddess out 💆.

"U look beautiful🥺" I whispered quietly into her ears, and maybe it was jxt my eyes playing tricks on me but I could have sworn I saw her cheeks glow red 😊 for jxt a brief moment.

First we headed to the restaurant, an Italian style restaurant newly built in Awka,Nigeria, 'Le cucina squisito' 🤌💕🤤.I had never been but of course she didn't need to know that 😂. The food there was Incredible, a real work of art 🤌❣️, hundreds of dishes I didn't even know existed 😋.... I couldn't tell if she was enjoying herself but I could tell I was ☺️. She was probably also having a good time bcuz she laughed heartily as we ate and talked and I began to wonder if I was really that funny 😕.

The bill arrived but I paid no heed to it, I didn't care about the cost as long as I got to sit across a goddess, engulfed in her beauty🧖, her smile☺️, those eyes🥺, 'is this heaven?🤧'

We left the restaurant and strolled across a beautiful beach 🏖️ as we headed back to her place,(yes, a beach in Awka 😅💔🤌)... at a point, she jxt stopped and stared far into the water 🌊 which beautifully reflected the moon's tender glow 🌕. The waves were calm and the silence was almost deafening, the stars 🌟 lit up the part the night, the moon couldn't reach🌌.

I stood by her, we spoke no words tho, jxt admiring the beauty of nature🌠, at least she was, I watched nature's beauty through her eyes, those eyes that seemed to suck me into another universe and make reality pointless 🥺❣️💖...

"Hey" She suddenly spoke disturbing the tranquility, an angel's voice 😇.

"huh?" I instinctively replied still trying to draw out of her eyes 🤧.

"U know I like u right?" 😕 she asked but my brain couldn't fully comprehend her words.

"huh?" I said again..." of course, I .... like u too" ☺️...  I tried to sound as subtle as ever, even tho my heart was at 200km/s🫀....

"Like .... " she drew closer "I'm in love with u "🥺❣️.... my eyes bursted out and I couldn't think straight....'wait, what?'.... without warning and without waiting for my reply, she bolted off 🏃‍♀️.

"Wait!" I yelled but that didn't stop her, she jxt kept running like her life depended on it🏃‍♀️. I wanted to chase after her but my legs were stuck, they refused to move an inch😓, so I merely watched her until she was out of sight 🥺💔. I sat down, staring at the seemingly endless waters🌊, the beautiful night 🌌 and recollecting the most perfect day of my life 🥺 . Her words crowded my head 😫🧠.

"Like... I'm in love with u"❣️..... After a while, a tear slid across my face 😢 and my one thought filled my head🌫️.
