A short explanation what FNaF is: Five nights at Freddy's is an indie horror point and click game. It's about a murderer who always comes back, wears a yellow bunny suit and lures little children in a secret room to kill them and then stuffes the corpses in empty animatronic suits.
This was the worst explanation ever and even Wikipedia explains it better so go look there.
Today I'm gonna talk about my experiences as a part of the Five nights at Freddy's (FNaF).
Well, how should I start. I love to be in this fandom, i think I've never been more obsessed about anything else then FNaF. I wouldn't say it's the best fandom ever but as I said it's my absolute favourite.
I know some people might be thinking FNaF is boring. And they're right. The games are boring, well most of them. But the thing is, you can call yourself a FNaF fan, even if you've never played any of the games. All that matters is, that you know the story behind it. The lore.
As you may or may not know, the FNaF lore is something you can talk about for hours and hours, and still won't get anywhere. It's a real struggle, but there's nothing that's more fun in this world then trying to solve the FNaF lore at 3am with your friends.
Then there are great some great YouTuber that play FNaF. My favourites are Fuhnaff, Markiplier and Sev (German).
Fanfiction. You do not wanna read FNaF-fanfictions. Trust me. I mean if you wanna read something were an animatronic and a human doing...uhm stuff then I really recommend not to read fanfics. But obviously there are also great ones, the least bad experience I've had with Michael Afton x Reader. (Don't ask)
And if course, a important things for ever fandom. Ships. I hate most ships, no matter what fandoms. As you probably can imagine, a fandom were only a few humans and animatronics are there, you do not wanna know about some if the ships. The only one that I'm personally okay with is Foxy x Mangle. I'm not sure why but that one is okay. As I'm not really a fan of ships I rather not say to much or someone's gonna come at me for not liking their ship or whatever.
I've had a few experiences with toxic fans but I think that they're in every fandom. The worst ones are definitely the one that tell people who haven't been in the fandom since 2014 that's they're not real fans. Like, what. As example. It's 2023 (in the fandom since 2020) and I'm 15, which means I was 6 as the first game came out? Do you really think I've had any excess to any phones or something? No. I know there are some people that have but not me. But still I had access to the internet way to early... whatever, same with the fans that don't want younger people be able to watch the movie. Be glad that they're younger people that like FNaF and the fandom isn't gonna die. Or if someone says people that only like security breach are not real fans. This doesn't make any sense. Of course the old games are nostalgic and stuff and I personally also don't like security breach that much but if they're people that do then good for them.
Then they're a 10000 of fan games. Some are good, some are...well not so good. The only fangame I've ever played is Creepy Nights at Freddy's. It's FNaF 1 but in free roam mode.
Can't forget about the songs FNaF songs are the only ones that are actually in my normal playlist not just in my fandom playlist. I obviously don't like every song but most of them are great. My favourite one is Run Run.
So i think that's all I know for now. If you know anything else I can talk about tell me please.
If you wanna hear me talk about other fandoms, I'm listing a few I'm in an you can choose one.
Have a great day. :D
