Once Upon a Time, in the Milky Way Kingdom, there was a lonely King named "the Moon" , despite being a king, the moon had no one and nothing to rule, on the other side, there was a queen named "the Sun" , she ruled her little stars even though she was a star herself, but she was bigger, stronger, and the most powerful, but unfortunately, she didn't have a kingdom.

So one day, "the Moon" met "the Sun" and he offered her a deal, to marry him and be his Queen, and they will rule the Milky Way together, the sun accepted deal and she married the Moon.

They lived happily together for millions of years, and they had nine children "the planets", "Saturn" the eldest, "Neptun", "Jupiter",  "Earth" the only daughter, "Uranus", "Mercury", "Venus", "Mars" , and the youngest one "Pluto".

As years went by, "the Sun" and "the Moon" noticed that "Earth" was born different than her brothers, she had something special in her, and it was something named "water", and the water goes other creatures to grow life in her, "plants", "animals" and "humans", but these creatures were eating life out of her, so to keep their daughter safe and alive, they decided to watch over her one at the time, so when "the sun" rise on "Earth", "the moon" goes down to take care of the Kingdom, then when the moon rise, "the sun" goes down to take care of her children.

As other millions of years went by, the kingdom of the Milky Way grew bigger, and other little, lost moons joined, so the king and the queen decided to make these new moons guards and servants to their other sons, so the king will be able to give all his time to "Earth", the other planets agreed, and each one of them to a number of moons to himself while the king stayed with "Earth".

And that's why there is something we as a human know as "night and day" but we will never know the real story behind it.
