Let go of ressentement, that shit is not going to help right now. Did you think you and Janet were friends because you two used to have coffee by the coffee machine everyday? Forget it. She's not going to call again. Unless she needs a ride, which you have been providing when her husband is using their car.
Forget it about messaging her, she used to read all your texts? Guess what, not anymore sucker, because you can't provide her with value. Just like your boss let you go after you weren't able to provide him with more value about a subject he didn't understand.
Remind yourself that you'll be able to start again.
Maybe it's time to take care of all those projects you left in the dust bin. Remember that book you wrote when you were fourteen and left behind because you didn't know how to finish the story? I guess now it's a good time to pick it back up, because you are going to have a shitload of free-time, like everyone keeps remindind you of. Sometimes in jealousy like you are not in a worse situation then them.
Guess what, I was never able to keep a diary, but now suddenly I have a project to write about things to do for people that might catch themselves in the same predicament I'm in.
At least I don't have a cat, because my cat died in the winter when I was starting this job and I started crying at work. Of corse I couldn't tell anyone that because my coworkers were assholes and they would have made fun of me. Did I remind you of letting go of grudges?
I guess I'll go to the gym anyway because I have more a lot of free time and mental anxiety to deal with that will not sort itself out by herself.
I forgot to mention that I got a ticket to a different country the next day after I was fired, since I have family there. So If you have the possibility the first step is to get a ticket someplace where you can have a reasonably cheap trip.
Since I'm catching a plane tomorrow I should probably shower and make a list of things I'll need.
Everytime I've been on a trip I seemed to forget something or not plan it well, let's see if this time it's going to be more of the same, ask your bestfriend or someone for advice, they might have a list of things you'll need.
Cry yourself to sleep since it's three in the morning and you are not being able to catch some zz's and prepare for the anxiety inducing experience that is the aeroport check-in fueled by a overpriced ham and cheese croissant and bad coffee.
It doesn't matter if you weren't able to sleep, tomorrow you'll be miles away anyway.
1-Go to the gym;
2-Take care of yourself and eat.
3- Book a trip if you are able to. If you are not, buy a book. A book is the best way of going somewhere without going anywhere.
