The camera blinks, getting less blurry each second. A man steps back. It was Chris, Chris McLean. The host of the show. The host of a show he thought could never go wrong, though it may have before. Could it, Chris? What if your expectations are too high? What if this new season goes terribly? What if it's all just a failure?
These teenagers you're about to meet once again can ruin your life? Could they, Chris? Chris begins to dust his hands off of his shirt, opening his mouth.
"Welcome to Total Drama Island yet again!" Chris smirks with a smug look on his face, crossing his arms while tilting his head up.
He walks down towards the end of the
dock, the camera following his every movement. He stands in-front of a sign. "Wawanakwa" it reads.Chris begins to speak. "Here, at camp Wawanakwa, where these twenty-two campers will be staying, everyone will be split into two teams soon to be individualists, and compete in various challenges to achieve a life-changing 100,000 big ones!"
Chris unfolds his arms, looking directly at the camera as he begins to wave his arms up to the air. He then rests his arms, walking towards a further end of the dock. "Let's meet our fellow campers who have joined us in the previous seasons!"
He grins, waving towards a boat drifting against the subtle waters. Chris seemed some sort of excited. Excited for the torture he'd put them in?
Excited for his pay-check for torturing children that'll make him a man of greed and wealth? What a silly man, if only he knew. The camera turns towards the ocean, a boat stopping infront of the dock.
A short yet hyper girl stands towards the edge, waving her hands while squealing. "EEEK! Chris! CHRIS!" She squeals. "Beth! Welcome back!" Chris smiles, waving his hand as she leaped off the boat and into his arms for a hug.
Beth smiled and stepped back from Chris as he dusted his hands off of his shirt. "Oh my god! It's so great to see you!" Beth exclaimed, emitting spit from her braces. Chris let out a nervous grin, crossing his arms yet again as Beth walked away.
Beth walked towards the other end of the dock. A wave to DJ. Another to Gwen. Another swift wave to Geoff, Lindsay, Heather, Duncan and Tyler. Chris felt empowered. Like nothing would go wrong. Of course he always felt that way, didn't he? He was the host after all, whatever he does must remain picture perfect.
Then a wave to Harold. Then Trent. Then Bridgette, Noah, Leshawna, Katie, Sadie and Ezekiel. His smug smiles took over his mind. He was planning something.
Something sinister. As if he almost felt.. powerful. He still kept a smile, he was Chris McLean after all. Then Cody. Then Eva. Then Sierra. Then Owen, Courtney, Justin and... Izzy.
He takes a breath. Aren't you overwhelmed now, Chris? What's wrong? Are you scared of something? There's nothing wrong, or coming for you. Atleast that's what you hope, Christopher.
Chris turns to the campers while a smug grin. "Welcome back to Total Drama Island!" Everyone around him rolls their eyes in disbelief. "I cant believe I'm back here.
"Will our suffering end this season?" mumbled a girl with long, black, streaky hair with a stern look on her face. She was indeed pretty. Or even, gorgeous. No, beautiful. Ah yes, Heather. A delicate yet familiar name.
They're all back now. Yet another couple episodes of painful travesties upon these poor, lifeless teenagers. Who's fault is that, Chris? I ponder who you'd expect.
Duncan moves forward, dropping his bag while glancing around. "The place looks pretty demolished, whatcha do to it Chris?" he wonders. "Some things got quite overgrown and some things got destroyed by.. various weather tragedies."
