Prolouge

Knuckles POV

It had been a few days since Y/N left on his adventure with Psycho and NiGHTS to stop Scourge and lately so far it's been rather normal just me and my island as I rested against the master emerald.

As I laid there I felt the ground shake with my eyes shooting open to see what was going on.

Knuckles: What is going on?

I soon saw some type of creatures coming out of the ground with them having glowing red eyes and their bodies were completely made of tar with X on their chest.

Knuckles: Hey what are you doing on my island? Get out of here!

They started to head towards me with me cracking my knuckles.

Knuckles: Alright then, don't say I didn't warn you.

I started running with me jumping off the temple I came crashing down and slamming the ground sending these things flying. I then proceeded to beat these creatures with my fist with one trying to attack me but I rolled under their attack and followed with an upper cut that ripped it's head off, I then dug under ground and dug under them and came out of the ground and then preformed a maximum heat strike which hit the ground so hard that balls of lava came out of the ground destroying all of those creatures.

As I dusted off my hands I looked up and saw those creatures tried to go for the master emerald.

Knuckles: Hey get away from there!

I ran over there and started attacking those same creatures before they could take the master emerald with me ramming my fist through it's head and it falling to the ground and disappearing.

Knuckles: What were those things, they had the same eyes as those EXE things Y/N saw.

I soon looked up and saw the sky had turned into a blood red color with more of those things coming out of the ground and some creatures coming from a hole in the sky.

Knuckles: Damn there is too many of them, normally I could take them on but if I didn't have to protect the master emerald and not destroying the island the same time then this would be easy.

I looked over the master emerald and sighed and decided to pick up the master emerald with the island starting to fall.

Knuckles: I'm sorry, but I have to keep it safe.

I then ran off the island and started to glide away from my island with the master emerald in my arms.

Knuckles: I better head to G.U.N that might be the best place to keep the master emerald safe.

I kept on gliding as I looked for the G.U.N headquarters.

THIRD POV

Elsewhere in the Chaotix detective agency Vector was listening to music while Charmy played while Espio had some tea.

Espio: You sure we shouldn't be worried about what Y/N mission is?

Vector: Calm down Espio it will be fine besides when has Y/N let us down before, in the meantime we should focus on our next client.

Soon the door burst open with what seemed like the same creatures that attacked Knuckles. Espio was able to throw a dart through its head but more kept coming which then Charmy jumped off the ceiling fan knocked over a book shelf blocking the front door.

Espio: We have to retreat before more show up!

Vector: No argument here Espio I'm calling technical retreat!

Espio then pulled out a smoke bomb and threw it in the ground with the room filling up with smoke with the creatures finally getting inside to only see that team Chaotix had gotten away.
