Flames on a snowy day

The sounds of the flames sounded like a big bird's wings flapping on a windy day. Kito was looking at the sign and then at the fire raven. "Kito, you are you ready to continue?" asked Aidmeer as crow sneaks away from the group looking for adventure. Kito slowly turns to look at aidmeer still wanting to look at the sign. "Yea, I'm ready." said Kito as he backs away from the sign. Aidmeer looked at ahead to see crow walking a head of the group, "Wait up babe!" shouted Aidmeer with a laugh. Kito and Yuki followed aidmeer closely behind, while the snow covered around them like a winter wonderland made from snow. Kito playfully ran around the side of the road, yuki smiled and started to do it too. The two brothers laughed as they playfully ran together without a care in the world. Buildings started to appear out of the snowy landscape showing a different color from black and white. The buildings were full of light and the buildings were typically small-town-like with cars parked in different places and a mountainside behind the town. There were humans moving about going from place to place not noticing them. The wolves came closer to the town to look for a place to rest. When they entered the town Yuki was looking at everything like it was his first time opening his eyes. "You act like it's your first time seeing a town." said Crow with a sarcastic voice as he walked over to the nearest alleyway. Kito wagged his tail while following aidmeer, Yuki stood there looking around in curiosity. A blue car came and almost hit Yuki with a really loud sound coming from it. Yuki stood there in fear from the noise until he heard his brother calling him. "Yuki came on!" shouted kito as Yuki ran over to him. In an alleyway half blocked by an old brown fence, the scent of smog covered the place like it was a ghost lurking. "Now what?" asked Aidmeer while crow looked out of the next corner. Crow looked at the group with his eyes lit up like a candle. Kito jumped on top of an old garage bin that clearly seen better days and laid down upon it. "I got it we can continue north when it gets dark. Humans aren't awake at night so, 're better off resting here until night." said Crow while his eyes shined. Aidmeer looked at Crow with a smile. Yuki was poking his head out of the hole in the fence looking at the different humans that passes by. Kito jumped down and scared the living daylights out of Yuki. "BOO!" laughed kito as Yuki jumps and dumps his head on the wood of the fence. Yuki quickly pulled his head out of the fence and started to chase kito around the alleyway. The sound of their paws through the snow sounded like drums playing hard or like a team of sled dogs. For one moment it looked like aidmeer's face looked frozen icy like a corpse with his eyes turning a frozen blue and then for the next moment he looked fine like nothing had happened. "Guys please, shut up! I'm trying to get some sleep." said Crow as he lay down with Aidmeer like a little ball. Kito and Yuki stopped in their tracks and looked at crow. Yuki walks away and lies down by the fence calmly as kito sits down very annoyed at Crow and Aidmeer being too boring for him. "Hey, Kito have you ever been in love with someone?" asked Yuki with a quiet voice. Memories of Meda raced through his head, the way her black fur blew in the wind on a sunny day and her bright warm mischievous smile. Kito was quiet but, he looked up at his brother with green flames in his eyes. "No, I haven't been. What about you? You would differently get a lover with those girly looks." said Kito as Yuki kind of showed a smile. "Yeah I had a lover once, but that was a long time ago." said Yuki as he peacefully looked up. Kito looked at Yuki with a worried face and it changed into a smile, he got up onto the crash can and climbed on the roof of a house. "Yuki, did you know I can fly!?" shouted kito as some humans noticed him on the roof. "I don't think you can kito." said Yuki with a chuckle. Kito wags his tail with a great big smile. "Well, I believe I can. I will fly up to the highest clouds and show you then!" shouted kito with the happiest of voices. "This isn't funny, please get down." said Yuki as he stood up with folded ears. "Ok, as you wish!" shouted kito as he took a running start and jumped off the roof. Kito's eyes light up like a warm green glow and he smiles while the wind hits his face. He then falls face-first into a hard brick wall of one of the buildings, yuki rushes over to check if he is alright. Kito lay on the soft white snow closing his eyes in pain, yuki whines as kito slowly gets up from the ground. "See I did it." said kito as he smiled at Yuki but still in pain. "Your completely mad!" chuckled Yuki as he wagged his tail. "Well madness runs in the family." laughs kito as he starts to play fight with Yuki. The sound of footsteps began to move closer to the fence, some noise hit the fence and it kept hitting. The sound of glitching voices came with it like a radio, the sky began to darken, and a light showed up peeking through the fence. Kito walked in front of Yuki growling at the noise. Aidmeer quickly woke up and looked around nervously, crow woke up later to the noise. "What in the heck did you guys do!?" yelled Crow with a deep growl. "We were only playing." said Yuki with a puppy-like voice. "Calm down guys! Kito you better explain." said Aidmeer with an unsettled tone of voice. "I wanted to fly so; I jumped off one of those big wooden things." said Kito with a growl. "You can't fly kito! You ruined our hiding spot." said Aidmeer as his eyes glowed red. Kito gets quiet as a long black stick bang on the fence, "Well you can't be a leader! You always leave your friends broken and that you will always do! I doubt you even care about me." yelled kito as everything gets the quiet exempt the banging, aidmeer's eyes looked like rainwater was on it. "Kito, I-" said aidmeer while Crow jumped up the trash can. "You what? Sorry for leaving me with my dead friend or sorry for being a jerk to me while I was in the pack?" asked Kito with a wrathful tone. Aidmeer kept quiet as he backed away from him and kito watched his movements. "All I wanted was a good friend that could stand by my side, and you couldn't do that. Just leave me here." spoke kito as tears raced down from his eyes. Their furs blew in the wind as the snow calmy fell upon them. Aidmeer did a little pace looking back at Crow and then at kito. Light beamed at them as the fence broke with a man's face showing through the broken fence.

                                                                   AT THE SAME TIME

The room was too bright, Kyo had gotten some sleep, but it was too odd having humans visit him every second of the day. Not hearing anything Kyo's eyes looked around the room and at the humans. He closed his eyes feeling a sharp pain all over his body, it was like a bear clawed him all over. Hearing an upset voice saying "We can't release him into the wild. Sorry, but we don't think he'll ever hear again out of that ear. The other one is close to death's door it's better to put him down.'' Kyo's eyes widened, and he moved his legs around trying to get up. The humans hold out their hands at him trying to calm him down. His golden eye pieced through them, growling like a demon. Kyo jumped down and ran out of the room into a hallway, smelling Akito and he followed it towards a brown door. Kyo claws at the door hearing a beeping noise through the working ear. It was like an echo chamber sound or like he was deep underwater. The door opened with a human looking down at him like they were guilty. Running towards Akito with teary eyes, Kyo stopped to slow down, seeing Akito lying down on a table with white clothes on him and an odd screen beeping slowly next to him. "Hey Akito, Wake up! We gotta get out of here." said Kyo as a metal rope went around his neck pulling him away. Kyo growled and he tried to bite the rope but only got a mask on his jaw. Being pulled away he stopped and walked with the human. A door opened into the snowy outside, seeing a fire raven on a tree nearby Kyo realized something was going to go wrong. Walking in the snow smelling different animals around him like nothing before, like those animals being in the same spot for years. The rope stopped pulling him when he reached a wooden gate. The human opens the gate and walks in with Kyo, closing the gate behind them. A white wolf with small ears and a radio collar caught his eye, the wolf was standing on a hill. The rope and the mask were off of kyo and the human left the area closing the gate behind him. Kyo began to laugh thinking what whisper saying about the land having no wolves. The area was full of trees and one hill, it was pretty like a dream but the one ugly thing about it was the fences that circled the area like a big cage. He looked around to see more wolves around him than ever before, standing his ground like a noble king facing an army. The white wolf ran down the hill with a wagging tail and a smile. The white wolf stood there upon him with bright blueish eyes looking at kyo. "Hello, I'm Rocky what's your name?" asked the white wolf as kyo looked confused due to lack of hearing. It sounded like the wolf was talking deep underwater, "You're what?" asked kyo as Rocky looked annoyed. "I'm Rocky and who are your friends?" said Rocky as he raised his voice. Kyo tilted his head and then waved his tail around. "I'm Kyo. How do we get out of here?" asked Kyo as he raised his voice. "We don't." replied Rocky as he smiled at him. Kyo quickly thought this wolf had to be joking with him at least. "Hey do you wanna be friends?" asked Rocky as he played bow. "What? Why? "Asked Kyo as he took a step back. "I don't have that many friends, so I was wondering if maybe we could be friends." answered Rocky as he awkwardly looked at kyo. "No, I mean why can't we leave?" asked kyo as the wind moved his fur around. "Oh that, well this place is fun, and we get free food without hunting it. I'm the only one from the wild so, this place is awesome." replied Rocky as he put his ears down. "I'm from the wild too!" said kyo happily as Rocky put his ears up. "Now I would love to get back to the wild with my brother so, will you be kind and please help me." asked kyo as rocky turned away to look at a fox nearby. "No thanks, hey do you like squirrels?" asked Rocky as kyo smiled. "Yep, I do but, I like bunnies more." said Kyo with a bit of a laugh. Rocky wags his tail as he runs away towards the top of the hill, kyo runs after him with a smile. Rocky then jumped on top of a fallen log and looked at the sky while snow fell down upon his white fur. Kyo stopped and watched Rocky close his eyes peacefully like he was free all along. As the light of the sun slowly disappears Rocky's blueish eyes turn into a grayish brown like magic. Kyo walked towards Rocky and sat next to him, rocky sat down peacefully looking at the landscape. "There's nothing like peace. Out there I used to go on adventures with my pack but there was barely peace." spoke Rocky calmly as his beautiful white coat waved in the wind peacefully. They watched the sunset together while the fire raven flew away into the winter sunset.
