Yuri

WE VENTURED DEEPER INTO THE DESOLATE AREA, a place that was once a factory, now shrouded in eerie silence beneath the night's shroud. The moon cast long, twisted shadows that seemed to dance along the decaying machinery, giving life to the forgotten remnants of industry. It was the perfect backdrop for those engaged in dirty schemes, a place where the darkness masked their sinister activities.

As always, I followed closely behind Toji, my steps echoing softly in the silence. I had been labeled as the Reaper's Shadowblade, a title that suited my role – to work in the shadows, almost invisible, my presence known only by the swift and deadly strokes of my blades. But tonight was different. Tonight, I didn't want to be in the shadows. My mind was filled with a torrent of questions, and I wanted answers from Toji.

He had a wife? Since fucking when?

Shiu's revelation had shattered my understanding of the man I had known. Yet, Toji remained stubbornly silent, unmoved by my attempts to confront him. It was maddening, and I couldn't help but feel a burning anger simmering beneath my skin.

The weight of the unanswered questions hung heavily in the air as we moved deeper into the eerie landscape. The factory's twisted metal structures seemed to mock my frustration, and I couldn't shake the feeling that Toji was intentionally keeping me in the dark. Tonight, I was determined to break through his silence and unearth the truth that had remained buried for far too long.

My frustration reached its peak, and I couldn't hold back any longer. I turned to Toji, my voice edged with irritation. "So when are you gonna open that damn mouth of yours?"

Toji's response was curt, his eyes scanning the eerie surroundings. "Focus, Yuri. We're in the middle of something. Can't let your guard down."

I couldn't help but chuckle bitterly, a mocking tone in my voice. "So now you're talking. Now, great. And fucking answer my damn questions. You got a wife? Since fucking when, Toji? Why would you hide something like that from me, you damn asshole!"

The words spilled from my lips like a torrent, a mix of anger, frustration, and hurt. Toji's silence had pushed me to the breaking point, and I needed answers. I needed to understand why he had kept such a significant part of his life hidden from me, and why now, of all times, he had chosen to reveal it.

Toji's irritation flared, and his voice turned harsh as he addressed me. "Now is not the time for damn confrontation, Yuri. I can sense a lot of curses here. I don't want you to get distracted. Didn't I fucking teach you that?"

His words hit me like a slap in the face, a sharp reminder of my role and training under him. I had learned from Toji the importance of staying focused in the midst of danger, the necessity of keeping my emotions in check when facing curses and sorcerers. But his revelation about a hidden wife had thrown me off balance, and I had allowed my emotions to get the best of me.

I bit back a retort, swallowing my anger and frustration.

Toji was right.
