Skywarp and Thundercracker were walking side by side, down the dark hallways of the nemesis. They both turned around at the sound of pedesteps, relaxing when they saw Starscream. Thundercracker crossed his arms and looked down at his leader, Skywarp just smiled.
"You two! We need to talk," Starscream said with has raspy voice.
Skywarp looked up at Thundercracker and shrugged, as the three seekers all entered the nearest room. Skywarp frowned. Starscream was pacing, his digits twitching slightly.
"Megatron will be through the spacebridge any moment now," the silver mech turned to Thundercracker. "With our Lord back, I am back to first lieutenant, and you are hereby demoted from that position," Thundercracker simply nodded. Starscream then turned to Skywarp, one digit up as he paused. "Er, Skywarp. You just...act normal."
Thundercracker smirked, "normal isn't exactly in his vocabulary."
Starscream couldn't help but smile a little, especially since Skywarp just smiled and shrugged. But even though the seeker had smiled, Skywarp could tell he was anxious. No doubt Thundercracker could too, he just didn't care. Starscream's wings kept twitching, and his optics darted around every once in a while with a glare in them.
Skywarp reached a servo forward and put it on Starscream's silver shoulder plating. "Hey, Megatron being back isn't all bad. Maybe we'll be able to spend more time together, as seekers. We'll be a stronger unit, proving how great a leader you are!"
Starscream just smiled crookedly. Normally he would never tolerate such behavior, and would deny whatever emotions his friend was assuming he had. But Skywarp was...Skywarp. He was everyone's exception. And Starscream had to admit, the past three years he had let leading go to his helm: and he missed his seekers. Not that he would turn down the chance to lead. He's first lieutenant after all, and future leader of the decepticons.
They were interrupted by a vehicon walking in, "Lieutenant Starscream, Megatron is waiting for you on top of the nemesis." Starscream simply nodded, walking out and past the vehicon as Thundercracker and Skywarp followed. Skywarp cast a smile at the Vehicon, "thanks Steve," Steve just nodded - smiling under his mask.
"Steve?" Thundercracker asked once they were away from the vehicon. Skywarp nodded. "Yeah...he hit his helm awhile ago while mining energon. He then went on the humans...interweb-thing, and saw that name. Guess he liked it."
Thundercracker didn't respond, and Skywarp had to quicken his pace to keep up with the blue mech.
The three seekers reached the top of the nemesis, instantly spotting the unmistakable form of Megatron - Astrotrain transforming out of alt mode behind him. But there was another form.
Starscream approached Megatron, dropping into a sort of bow. "Lord Megatron, welcome back. I see you have brought a visitor...what about your army?"
Skywarp tensed up slightly, but held his position beside Thundercracker and behind Starscream. He had forgotten just how intimidating the war lord was. At least Astrotrain's back. He's funny. Sometimes.
Megatron opened up his servo, motioning towards the large stranger. "This 'visitor' is Sixshot. And we will discuss my army later."
Sixshot stepped forward threateningly, his arms crossed over his chassis. "I'm as good as any army you can gather. Better in fact."
Starscream held his ground, unfazed. Skywarp couldn't help but feel proud to be one of Starscream's seekers. He didn't really realize that Starscream's confidence came from the fact he had Thundercracker and Skywarp to back him up.
