The full glow of the moon in the night sky
To me it calls from the darkness up high
It makes my soul feel restless and weak
From my dark and gloomy cell I take a peakFor in this cage the moon at night
Is my one and only single light
I am in this dungeon, locked up here
A crime I didn't commit, but oh dearFrom here, will I ever escape and be free
Will I ever see the world with glee
I grow weak and tired in this place
It shows on my aged and sunken faceI know I won't always be busy trying
Without hope I will be left truly dying
