The morning after your temple visit you still felt very fatigued from the emotions and force you had connected with the night before. If learning to have the force flow through you was like learning to swim with the current you had accidentally thrown yourself into a tsunami last night. You were not prepared to handle its connection and after weeks of purposely avoiding it your body was not strong enough. You could feel the fatigue aching off of you, and your eyes were puffy from the tears you had shed. Overall, you really just felt like crap and wanted to keep sleeping.
Omega had cuddled up to you at some point right when you had started to come out of a dream. The dream had been more about force foresight than anything your brain generated so naturally that added to your current fatigue and gave you a headache. Channeling the force even in your sleep usually resulted in some form of ache but in combination with last night ... This was a bit much. As you steadily became more awake you were more aware of how your body felt and the warmth of Omega curled up against you resting her head just under your chin. Your right arm was asleep because you had wrapped it around her and all the blood flow had gotten cut off. You remembered hearing Omega say something about telling people something once you woke up, and you slowly opened your eyes. Your dazed state of mind was punctuated by an ache from your brain and you began to wake up.
Omega noticed you stirring and popped her head up "Y/N" she whispered excitedly before seeing your face, puffy eyes and all. "Are you okay? What happened?"
You felt like crying again, seeing her face and remembering all those children at the temple. But your aching eyes didn't have any more tears to give so you gently ran your fingers through her hair and replied "I will be".
"Heard you had a rough night" came Hunter's voice and you glanced up to see him sitting up on his side of the bed.
"You could say that" you replied, closing your eyes and breathing out a sigh. You squeezed Omega and kept your arms around her, you didn't want to get up yet.
"Y/n visited the Jedi temple last night" Tech butted in, and you opened your eyes again but didn't reply. You could see Omega's surprised face with both concern and curiosity sparkling in her eyes. "the temple?" you heard Rex ask from the foot of your bed. Evidently he had moved and seated himself at your feet sometime between your arrival last night and waking.
"Affirmative. It was quite the excursion and thankfully we both returned unnoticed" Tech replied.
"So both of you went?" Echo clarified.
"No" Tech corrected him "I received a proximity alert and went to find her. It would appear evident that Y/N is actually force-sensitive".
You didn't mean to tense up, but you did. --You knew they needed to know now, but you were waiting for something bad to happen--. Omega on the other hand was ecstatic; "Like a Jedi?" she asked, sitting up next to you and looking at Tech for clarification.
Echo and Wrecker were equally curious and surprised but Hunter had a thoughtful expression on his face. --So far they are taking this well-- you think to yourself.
"Correct" Tech answered, but you then corrected him "Partially correct"--you sit up in bed-- "I wasn't knighted, so I'm technically unofficial".
"Do you have the saber?" Wrecker asked.
You pause "tucked away, I defected from the order so I cannot use them".
"Back when there was an order" Echo replied "Times have changed".
"So why the temple?" Hunter asked and Rex added, "Why now?"
"I wanted to know what had happened and I was running out of time. We leave in another two days after the final hearing and I couldn't ignore it anymore. Its presence was so close and I needed answers".
