As the summer of Olympia drew near, impatience coursed through the strawberry blond, the son of Helios. The scorching God of the sun above.
"Mother mother!" I stared deeply into my mother's eyes, her eyes mirror the oceans of Zakynthos, where the Goddess of hunt, looks for animalia.
"What is it that you want, child?"
The tall graceful Oceanid folded her arms, her pallid cold skin transitioned that of the restless waters of a storm-tossed sea. Her intent was clear, to discourage me from drawing the subject that way weighed heavily on her heart.
But did she really believed that her icy tempest could extinguish the blazing determination from within me?
My gaze remained unwavering, even through the murderous intent of her eyes, to master the chariot's reins. A man would need to embrace true masculinity.
"Mother, I demand the honor of competing in the Isthmian Games, for I am destined to surpass all others and prove my unmatched prowess."
Her once luminous eyes darkened, as if darkness had fallen into the depths of her soul. The goddess closed her lids briefly, the tension in her face, evaporating before she opened them once more.
"Have I not forbidden you from participating in the Isthmian Games?!"
Her gaze onced marked by anger, now carried weight of sorrow.
Ah goodness me, how could I have forgotten that my mother, once the consort of Helios. Still hasn't gotten over the sun(Helios)…..even as he plunges down to the seas at the east, as Erebus and night began to emerge to the horizon.
"Mother, if this is about father. I would advise you to stop hopelessly chasing him."
My mother's gaze pierced through me, a moment of profound disbelief that I would gaze upon their relationship as a liaison.
"Son of Ἡλιος, you would do well to heed my warnings…" her cold penetrating orbs cautioned me from going against her aggravating desires.
