Narrator's POV:
Time could only tell for Zack stuck on that island, out of boredom decided to build a few boats out of strong tree woon with our any of his two brothers knowing that he was planning on helping any survivor escape there death, but with making so much so quickly he soon began to feel like he was in control of his infection, but now he felt the urge to create a cure mostly for his sister he'd plan on abandoning his two brothers and taking his sister with him to the other island once creating the cure the scientist couldn't create, the months rolled by as Zack secretly began creating test after test of cures more rats and rabbits dying or showing worst cases of mutation before dying, it felt like he couldn't do it till final, a cure was made tasting it on a rabbit he had put the infection into he was able to see that it cured them but still kept some infected traits, he was excited to see he finally created something that could cure them, till he heard a saddened voice. "Zack..?" He turned around to see Loretta with a blanket wrapped around herself as she had just discovered what he'd been up to "Hey sis... Uh, look I know you're disappointed in me but please understand... I don't want us to continue our suffering." He said as he looked at her knowing that she'd probably kill him in the end and her hard work would be put to waste "..Will it help me make a child..?" Loretta asked as tears slowly formed in her eyes, showing how desperate she was to have a kid, Zack noticed this and didn't want to tell her a lie he just couldn't. "It will but we need to leave this place first, then once we find a way inside the military base I'll give us the cure so we can blend in." He said this will pure confidence but he knew they'd have to abandon Gold and Rick in order for the plan to succeed so they can get away, Zack only was able to create three cures but he'd wait till Gold find it himself so he could take it also he never made one for Rick as he was already to far gone in his infection stage as even giving it to him it would kill him. Zack took the two curse he'd made and then took Loretta's hand and led her to his escape boat he made, with enough food and fresh water to help them make it to the other island leaving there big brother behind to figure things out by himself.
