I stood at the edge of the airport terminal, my heart pounding with a mix of excitement and anxiety. Nine years. Nine long years since I last set foot in India. And here I was, staring at the bustling city of Mumbai, feeling like a stranger in my own home. The familiar chaos, the vibrant energy—it was all the same, yet everything felt different.

"Welcome back to India, Dr. Roy!" the airline staff had said with a polite smile as I passed through customs.

I returned the smile, but my mind was elsewhere, already anticipating the reunion with my friends. Ayesha Khanna, my childhood friend, was about to marry the love of her life, Advik Awasthi. The thought of the pre-wedding party tonight filled me with joy, but also a shadow of anxiety about who else I might encounter.

"Ayaan" His name echoed in my mind, bringing back a flood of memories I'd tried hard to suppress. We had broken up just before I left for the U.S., and although the years had passed, the wounds still felt fresh.

Stepping outside, I took a deep breath, inhaling the humid air that was quintessentially Mumbai. The city buzzed around me, a blur of colors and sounds. I hailed a cab and headed to the hotel, trying to calm the whirlwind of emotions inside me.

Kiara's POV

"There she is!" I exclaimed as Ariyanshi walked into the lobby, looking as stunning as ever.

Zehra and I had been waiting for her, eager to welcome her back We rushed to hug her, enveloping her in a warm embrace

"Arya, it's so good to see you!" Zehra said, her eyes sparkling with excitement "You look amazing, as always."

"I've missed you both so much," Ariyanshi replied, a smile lighting up her face "And you guys look fantastic too... Ready to party?"

I laughed, feeling the tension of the day melt away "Absolutely! Ayesha is a bundle of nerves, but we’ve got her covered..Tonight's all about letting loose and having fun before the big day."

As we chatted, it was as if no time had passed. The friendship we shared was effortless, and I felt grateful for these incredible women who had been by my side through thick and thin. Zehra and Kiara had become like sisters to me during our time abroad, and introducing them to Ayesha had only made our bond stronger.
