"Today is the day where I become a senior!" shrieks Elise as she puts on her makeup for the day. She has longed for this day as she had excelled in building up her social reputation. She has went from the bottom of the pyramid to cheer captain. Elise Whitley is golden for this school year. As she continues to get dressed she catches a glimpse of her twin brother sneaking in through his window.

"And you have been where?" she asked as she put on lip gloss.

"I made a quick stop for some breakfast at the hospital" he said as approaching her door.

At his reply Elise smirked.

"I know your not the age limit to retrieve blood banks and you know that so you stole again?" she said grinning.

He laughed and walked back into his room shutting the door behind him. Once the door was shut he took his shirt off revealing a bruise on the side of his stomach from the night before. He whispered to himself "Grams not going to like this". Mason Whitley unlike his twin sister isn't so syked for his senior year. He is more of the wannabe bad boy that everyone knows starts trouble for fun. He is not as popular as his sister but that doesn't mean he's not up there with her. He got dressed and met his sister downstairs.

"Have fun demons and behave yourselves" Gram Mona said as Elise and Mason went off to school. When attending Drac Academy of Immortal, students don't travel by bus but by speed. The twins vampire speed their way to school far off from Scarlet Fields. The twins raced each other to their friends Erin and Baron Montgomery's house first. Erin is Mason's Girlfriend as Baron has had a childhood crush on Elise but never gets the courage to ask her out. Anyways she is dating Dirk Ramon who lives next to the Montgomery's.Erin and Baron are vampires too. After they all met up they all raced to school in time before the bell ranged. The academy is a school for vampires all over Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, and Missouri. On every first day of school a town is selected to represent the school. The senior students who live in that town will be closely watched as of representing the town and if done nicely by the end of the school year will receive anything desired to start off the young vamps life. Some rewards over the years had been the power of compelling other vampires, being strong and faster, even a special potion hold on to by the Mayor that allows vampire to become humans again. Mayor Finley, the mayor of Scarlet Fields announced that her town which so happens to be the town Elise and her friends live in will represent the school this school year. Mayor Finley reminded the seniors of Scarlet Fields that they will be watched everyday and every hour and to not disappoint the school.

Hearing the news of Scarlet Fields representing the school Mason and Baron gave each other crazy stares. "There is said to be a rumor that more than one vampire was caught dishonoring their town and they were tortured and still our till this day." says Baron as the gang heads off to their classes. The girls laughed and went off to World History which is held by a vampire who lived as far back as when George Washington stepped in to power. As they walked away Baron's smile turned into a frown and quickly Mason saw it and slapped him in the back of the head. "Dude ask her out or stop staring." he scoffed.

After school, Dirk catches up with Elise to Baron's dismay and the gang stops at a diner, the Eclipse, where they always go to hang out outside of town. The diner wasn't only a hang-out place for vampires but also for witches. Normally witches don't get along with vampires but they all learn to tolerate each other. The gang are actually friends with three. Henry, Kay, and Anne. "Henry man where you've been?" Dirk asked as he sat down at their usual table. I just came back yesterday replied Henry whom spent the summer over in Beijing with his family learning more about his coven an dhow to use his magic. Erin informed Henry, Anne, and Kay that they will be representing the academy." Aah. That means you guys can't drink with us anymore?" joked Kay. Elise nugged Kay replying "I don't think they would care if we have a drink or two we are still teens, we been that way three years now". The table went silent before Anne spoke up "I still can't believe you all died at 15 and you guys still age even if your body doesn't which means you guys are stuck in puberty." she said very seriously. "Puberty wasn't good for me so I'm glad I'm not a vampire" she continued. She finally stopped talking after seeing that they were all staring at her.

They continued to talk about their summer days. Then Baron eyes caught a glimpse at the T.V. and told the guys to look at it. The T.V was always turned to Super 7 Natural News. The screen title said Vampire attack in Scarlet Fields. "Today a body of an vampire was found in the back of a flower shop. The body seemed to be beaten up badly as if something tried to devour him but instead punctured him. As we can tell the body belong to Mr. Mung of Mung's Flower shop and it looks as if he put up a fight. More news will be reported soon" reported the News Anchor. This left the gang in distraught as they were good friends of Mr. Mung. "Who would hurt Mr. Mung?" asked Erin. "Whoever did, how did they get in doesn't Mayor Fields control who comes into town?" asked Mason.

They returned home to check out the incident and to console Mrs. Mung. Witches also live in Scarlet Fields and they have an ceremony every time an a witch or vampire dies which is rare in Scarlet Fields. When dead a vampire's body decomposes quickly, but in wishes of Mrs. Mung the witches preserves Mr. Mung's body and places him in a coffin. Once the crowd that was watching the crime scene cleared up there was a minimum of activities the rest of day. Everyone stayed inside and mourned Mr. Mung's death as of respect to the Mung family. The gang was still confused on the events that is said to be what happened.
