At college—

Eunji: "Let's go to the canteen."

Soo Young: "It's on you, right?"

Eunji: "Yeah."

Ji Woo: "You don't usually eat..."

Eunji: "Well, nobody's home today. So, I haven't eaten anything?"

Soo Young: "Okay, let's go then!"

Eunji: "We need to go to the library for our assignment after this."

Soo Young: "What assignment?"

Eunji: "The one the professor just gave today."

Soo Young: "The deadline is so far away... we have time."

Eunji: "No. We're doing it today."

Soo Young: "God! I wish we could change partners." (laughs)

Eunji glares.

Soo Young: "Okay, okay, fine!"

Across the room, Taehyung listens in, smirking. "An assignment, huh? Sounds like a great idea."

Back in Class

Professor: "I've decided to switch partners for this assignment. Change is important in life, right?"

The entire class groans in protest.

Soo Young: "Thank God!"

Eunji: "Shut up."

After a few moments—

Professor: "Eunji, you're with Taehyung. Soo Young, you're with Woo Sik."

Both girls: "WHAT?!"

Eunji: "No, ma'am."

Professor: "These are your partners for the month. No complaints." She leaves before Eunji can protest further.

Eunji: "God! I can't do assignments with him. I don't like him."

Soo Young: "Relax. It's just a month."

Eunji: "But why so suddenly?"

In the Corridor

Eunji, Ji Woo, and Soo Young walk together when suddenly—

Taehyung and Woo Sik appear.

Taehyung: "Hi."

Woo Sik: "Hi."

Ji Woo and Soo Young respond cheerfully, but as usual, Eunji stays silent.

Taehyung: "So... when are we doing the assignment?"

Eunji: "Never."

Taehyung: "Okay, I'll tell the professor that."

Eunji: "...Wait. Fine."

Taehyung (thinking): She'll say sorry soon.

Eunji (thinking): I hate him.

The two glare at each other.

Woo Sik: "Soo Young, when should we do our assignment?"

Soo Young: "Maybe... the 30th?"

Woo Sik: "Alright."

Ji Woo sighs. "You guys are all busy with your partners, and here I am with no one."

Eunji: "Assignment partners."

Ji Woo: "Yeah, yeah..."

Suddenly, a voice speaks up.

"Well, you can be my partner."

They all turn around.

Soo Young: "Yah! Han Bin!"

Ji Woo freezes in shock.

Han Bin: "Hi, everyone."

He steps closer to Ji Woo. "Hi, Ji Woo."

Ji Woo: "What are you doing here? Weren't you supposed to be in America?"

Han Bin: "Didn't feel like staying there, so I came back."

Ji Woo's expression softens as she smiles and suddenly hugs him.

Taehyung: "Uh... some context, please?"

Eunji: "Not necessary."

Han Bin smirks. "Still the same Eunji, huh?"

He turns back to the group. "I'm Han Bin—Ji Woo's boyfriend. Also, Eunji and Soo Young's high school friend."

Taehyung: "Nice to meet you."

Woo Sik: "Same here."

Han Bin: "Cool, but who are you guys?"

Soo Young: "They're our classmates... and, unfortunately, our assignment partners."

Eunji crosses her arms. "Listen, Taehyung. We're finishing this assignment in four days. I can't stand you any longer than that."

Taehyung, smirking: "Okay, ma'am."

Eunji: "Do not call me that."

Taehyung: "Alright, alright."

Han Bin watches, amused, before laughing.

Han Bin: "Guys, let's all grab a meal together."

Soo Young: "Yesss!"

Han Bin: "Taehyung, Woo Sik, you two should come too."

Eunji opens her mouth to say no, but Taehyung interrupts—

"Yeah, of course!"

Eunji rolls her eyes, while Taehyung smirks.

Ji Woo: "Let's go!"

And with that, they all head to a restaurant.
