As Ashley's bodyguard you are ordered to follow her everywhere.

Which lead to the both of you becoming friends as you two are close in age.

You : Ashley, hurry, we have to go in like..2 minutes.

You could hear Ashley sigh and chuckle a bit at your remark, taking it lightly.

Ashley : Yeah yeah, whatever (name).

You couldn't help but roll your eyes playfully as you hear her talk back, you secretly enjoyed you guys' relationship.

Ashley wasn't always this comfortable around people, so you take it as a blessing.

After a couple of minutes, the president's daughter finally walks out of her room, prepared to go out, with you accompanying her.

You : You really took your sweet time Ashley, now we are running late again !

As her bodyguard you felt stressed knowing that she's late for one of her duties, which isn't the first time, but as her friend you wanted her to feel relaxed and calm as it's nothing too important anyways.

For the formal event, Ashley as wearing and orange and red dress that looked absolutely stunning on her.

You couldn't help but glance towards her a few times, those glances didn't go unnoticed by Ashley, making the young woman giggle.

Ashley: you look good in that suit.

She says, her tone was slightly teasing and playfully, as it usually us when she's in a good mood.

even though you smirk a bit at her comment, you can't help but roll your eyes in a joking manner making her understand how exasperated you are.

You : haha, very funny. Now let's go, I don't want to get yelled at by the other body guards.

You say with a smile, leading her to the car while holding her hand as you often do.

The young blonde couldn't help but blush and smile at the touch, no one knew about her feelings for you (romantic ones, obviously) yet some others guessed it.

But as you are a rather obvious bodyguard, Ashley didn't make big moves as she is the type to enjoy the princess treatment not to do it to someone else.

You sir down next to her in the car, looking out the window to look at the city. It was late at night, so you tried to see if you were able to see the stars.

Ashley looks at you and sighs.

Ashley : Am I that boring that you don't wanna talk to me ?

She asks, trying to sound playful and fun but you could obviously hear the slight annoyance in her tone. Ashley wanted your full attention, without asking for it directly.

You : Mhm ? Oh, sorry no, I was just trying to look for the stars.

Ashley : Good luck, it's really hard to see them with all that light... hey, (name), how about we go camping? You know, just the two of us.

The president's daughter knew how to catch your attention. Your gaze turned back to her and you gave her a warm smile.

You : Sure, sounds awesome. You know, I really value you, Ashley. I know that I'm just your bodyguard but I think of you as one of my closest friends.

The blonde couldn't help but blush at your words, she could even feel her heart melt.

But she didn't have time to answer as the car stopped and parked, meaning that you two arrived to destination.

You go out first to open the door and lead her inside the building were the formal party is.

Ashley was holding your hand tightly, no wanting to let you go. As she enters the place, she greets most of the politicians and other important figures, still holding you close to her.

After a while she got annoyed by it and whispers in your ear.

Ashley : (name), can you come with me upstairs? I need a break from all this socializing.

You : Yeah sure, I'll follow you.

You say, giving her a comforting smile. She leads you to an empty room with with a few chairs and books.

Ashley plops down on one of the chairs and sighs.

Ashley : ugh, I hate all of this.. but I'm happy to be with you, like really.

She says with a soft smile. You chuckle and sit down next to you.

You : Im also happy to be with you, Ash.

The blonde rests her head on your shoulder, you could see that she was thinking about something. You could tell that it was serious.

Ashley : I know that I'm not the easiest girl and friend but I think that we have something.. a deep connection, chemistry. And I don't want my stubbornness to be something you hate about me.

The woman starts. You look at her confused, why was she saying all of this suddenly ?

You : I don't hate your stubbornness, I also think we get along perfectly.

She looks at you and gives you a sad small smile.

Ashley: I think I love you, (name). You're the perfect person to be with.

Your eyes widen in surprise, you didn't expect a confession coming from her ! Yet, you leave a quick kiss on her forehead.

You : I love you too, Ash. You can be annoying but it doesn't matter, you're still the best girl I've ever met.

I know that this one was very short with only 960 words but I didn't have as much inspiration for the bodyguard story !

I try to watch different shows to give me some inspiration but as I'm not much of a romance movie type of girl it's a bit hard.

So if you have scenarios in mind or maybe a story, write it down ! I'd love to read some of your ideas. :)
