The class was a typical history class. Learning about how the government worked and key terms.

The bell finally rang and I grabbed my book that the teacher handed out and made my way out of that class. I don't wanna be associated with the gangs. I wish they would just leave me alone. I go to my locker and as I'm twisting the lock, I see Luke coming up to me out of the corner of my eye. I let out a breath and slightly shake my head.

"Hey." He says leaning against the locker next to mine. I glance up at him slightly.

"Hi." I open the door and put my book on a shelf and then grab a new set of notebooks for the following classes.

"So how come you didn't sit with me?" He laced his words with a hidden meaning behind them. He was jealous or annoyed. Jealous I chose River or annoyed for power. I roll my eyes and close the door to my locker.

"Because I have only ever had bad encounters with you so far, Luke." I say looking him in the eyes. His face doesn't change. Just the normal kind of smirking and kinda straight faced look. He leans into me and looks me up.

"Well I guess sweetheart we'll just have to change that won't we?" He grabs my wrist and pulls me with him.

"What are you doing?" I ask and look around. People see what's happening but they don't make any effort in getting involved. "Luke!" I yell as we're outside now and I'm being dragged.

"We're gonna have fun." He says smirking. He reaches into his pocket and throws me some keys. I catch them, thank god and look at him like he's crazy.

"What's happening?" I ask with wide eyes. He laughs and wipes his face with his big hand.

"You're gonna drive the Camaro." He says and my eyes get wider.

"Wait, what?" I ask and he laughs again coming towards me putting a hand on my lower back to guide me to the drivers seat.

"You're gonna drive the car." He takes my bag off my back. "I saw the way you looked at it earlier this morning. Were almost drooling!"

"But I don't know how to drive stick!" I exclaim starting to panic. I open the door and admire the details. I move the seat and adjust the mirrors.

"It's ok, I'll teach you." He says as he slides into the passenger seat. I smirk and look to him.

"But I thought I was the one supposed to be teaching you." My eyebrow is up in question. He's at a loss for words and shakes his head smiling.

"Well, not this time." He says, "now put the car in neutral and press the clutch all the way to the floor."

"Which one is the clutch?" I ask looking at three different pedals by my foot.

"Far left." He says smiling. He's leaning towards the middle console making sure everything is correct. I nod my head. "Turn the key and take your foot off the clutch. Press the brake, the middle pedal. Move the gear shifter to first gear." I do what he says one after another. "Take your foot off the brake. Press the gas lightly. When it's time to switch to second gear, put your left foot onto the clutch and move the gear shifter into second gear. Release the clutch then start to press the gas again."

I pull out of the parking lot and get to the stop light. When it turns green, I press the gas and then start to move it into second gear. The speed goes faster and I can feel the wind blow through my hair. I didn't even notice the windows were down. I look over to Luke smiling like I just won a million dollars.

"Are you having fun?!" He says laughing. The car goes faster, nearly hitting eighty-five miles per hour.

"Yes!" I yell and switch it to the next gear.
