The world around me seems to tilt as the adrenaline in my body finally begins to wears off, leaving me in a daze as I watch chaos unfurl around me.
The pain in my stomach suddenly becomes excruciating and I clutch the bullet wound with trembling hands in my best efforts to contain the blood gushing out of my body. I curse under my breath and stagger towards an empty building away from all of the gunfire and commotion. Every shaky step I took sent my head reeling from the white, hot pain in my abdomen that seemed to intensify with every passing second.

I finally make it to shelter and time seems to stop as stumble against the dirty wall, struggling to find my balance. My legs suddenly feel horribly fragile. They shook before finally giving out beneath me. My body hit the ground with a hard thud. My face stinging as it slams hard against the cold concrete floor.

I can hear the rest of my team shouting commands from outside. The gunfire, the screams.

Tears well in my eyes.
It hurts.
It hurts so much.

I claw desperately at the gaping bullet wound in my stomach, as if that would help stop the stabbing pain from wracking my body.

I can do nothing but writhe helplessly on the ground as the pain consumes all my senses. Fear rising within me as I feel my blood, warm and slick, gush out of my stomach, soaking my hands, and pooling onto the concrete floor.

No
This cant be how it ends..

I squeeze my eyes shut as another intense jolt of pain stabs my insides. I feel tears leak out of
the corners of my eyes.

This is the end.

Amidst my suffering, I suddenly hear the radio attatched to my vest , crackle to life. A familair voice speaks up.

"YN,whats your status?"

Its Ghost.

I can recognize that deep raspy, British accent anywhere and it's enough to provide me a fleeting sense of comfort. The voice that whispered sweet nothings in my ears, the voice that reassured me everything will be okay just a few minutes ago.

" YN? Do you copy?" He sounds out of breath, panting through each word.

I just listen silently to the sound of his voice, too weak to move or talk

Theres a pause before the crackle of the radio comes in again

" YN do you copy? come in!" Ghost orders firmly. His voice hard and angry. But I can sense the edge of panic behind his words.

Using all my remaining strength, i move my arm from where the were pressed against my stomach to grab the radio attached to my vest, my hands trembling. I press down on the reciever, the small action alone exhausting me beyond belief.

"Copy..I been hit" I manage to say weakly into the radio. My voice thin and scratchy to my own ears.

Ghosts voice comes in immediately after my message

"Where are you?" He says firmly, his words come out sharp and quick.

I inhale shakily, its too risky.
The enemies are surrounded in my area. Theres no chance in hell I could put him at risk like that.

I look down in horror to see the pool of blood spreading, coating the concrete floor. I can feel my strength slowly slipping away.

"Im sorry" I mutter, barely managing to keep my voice audible among the harsh sound of gunfire nearby. "its too late for me" I whisper, my voice breaking. I dont want to die. I havent done anything in this life and, im not ready to leave everyone behind. And Simon..god i dont want to leave him.
