"I don't want to hear any excuses from both of you," Coach Kevin wasn't the type to tolerate lateness at practice

"I don't want to hear any excuses from both of you," Coach Kevin wasn't the type to tolerate lateness at practice.

Harry and Louis were one hour late for practice, and Coach Kevin was not going to let this slide. Honestly, it was Louis's mistake; they had plenty of time to sleep, but he was stubbornly trying to "punish" Harry for what he did at his cousin's house. The point is, they are underslept and tired, and now they're listening to Coach Kevin rant about punctuality and discipline.

"I didn't expect this from you guys, especially you, Harry. Don't make me reconsider my decisions. This is the final warning. Now, warm up and do 100 push-ups," Harry almost wanted to strangle Louis now and there.

"Ismael, you're in charge of them," Kevin said sternly and went back to the team.

"Well, well, well, how the tables have turned," Ismael snorted. "The favorite boy is getting scolded."

"He's not biased, Ismael. Not the most charismatic or joyful, per se. I think he's the kind of person who cares, you know, but he's too private. I bet he's sweet with his husband," Harry said, tying his hair into a bun.

"Sounds like the captain has a crush on Coach," Ismael teased.

"You think?" Louis looked at Harry accusingly.

"For God's sake, he's almost 40," Harry tried to brush off the topic. Louis can be crazy jealous sometimes.

"I don't have a good feeling about him," Louis said, stretching his legs.

"Why?" Harry and Ismael asked simultaneously.

"I don't know. Whatever I heard about him at the party wasn't good. I heard someone saying he's having problems in his family life, some drama, I don't know. Also, he's not giving me good vibes."

"That explains the anger this morning," Ismael added.

"Not everyone can be like Coach Abraham, Lou."

"Can you please stop advocating for him, Haz?"

"Both of you, stop bickering and start with the push-ups now," Ismael rolled his eyes.

...

"Oh, for heaven's sake, Louis, leave it be, okay? I'm not in love with Kevin."

"If you say so," Louis said, getting inside the car and fastening his seatbelt.

They sat in silence for a long time; there was too much tension between them.

"What's on your mind, Louis? Spit it out; I know it's not about what I said."

"It's just... I didn't want to say anything in front of Ismael, but..."

"You said enough there," Harry interrupted.

"The point is he's kind of shady."

"Why do you think that way?"
