He used his psychokinesis powers to stretch and squash the slime but it would not wake up, he threw it at the walls and ceiling but got the same result.

—You know, you'd really be in trouble if it wasn't for me — he lay down on the bed next to the slime. —You'd better explain to me what you are when you wake up, because I'm sure you're not a monster.... —

"Protect me" were the only words Rimuru had given the esper when she caught him days before.

At least you serve as a pillow for me, useless.
