From Reject to Badass

Chapter 4

Damien's POV
I watched as she walked away. I loved Aurora but I did this for the pack.
No you did this for yourself you selfish baster. That's our mate our beautiful mate and what do you do, you just reject her.
Shut up she's weak she could never be a good Luna.

I couldn't think straight all I could think about is Aurora and how heartbroken she looked. When I got to the lunch room I looked outside to see if Aurora might be sitting under one of the trees but I didn't see her. My soon to be Beta Marco, who is also Aurora's older brother sat next to me.
"Hey have any of you seen Aurora?" He asked. We all said no. "She walked to school and I had to take a make-up test so I didn't see her at all this morning." He continued to say.
"Hey Damien didn't you-" my friend started to say but I kicked him from under the table to shut him up.
"Didn't you what?" Marco asked.
"Oh yeah I think I saw her walking to ap-biology." I said
"Oh alright I just wanted to know."
Well that was a close one.
Don't be too sure.

When I got to the pack house I walked to the living room and threw my backpack on the couch.
"Damien is that you?" My mom asked from the kitchen.
"Yes" I responded
"Get yourself cleaned up. We're having dinner at the Vergara's tonight."
Great just great. This isn't going to end well.

When we got to the Vergara house my dad knocked on the door. To my luck Marco was the one who answered the door.
"Hello Mr. & Mrs. Santos." He said to my parents.
"We're good. How are you?" My father asked.
"I'm doing just fine. Please come in." Marco said. "You guys came to eat on a good day my mom made her homemade tamales." He continued to say.
"Oh good I love your mother's homemade tamales." My mother said.
I haven't seen Aurora yet so that's good.
"Aye you good man? You look pale." Marco asked me.
"Yeah I'm good"
We were soon greeted by 
Mr.&Mrs. Vergara. They seemed weird especially towards me.
"Well shall we eat?" Mrs. Vergara said.
We followed her into the dining room. I saw that there was only six plates set up but there was seven of us eating. Where's Aurora? Maybe she locked herself in her room. Dinner started off fine, it was just small talk-as usual- but then Marco asked this.
"Hey mom where is Aurora? Shouldn't she be here?"
She seemed nervous and Mr. Vergara's knuckles were turning white because he was clutching them hard. She cleared her voice and said, "She's not here." What?
"Yeah I can see that. But where did she go?"
"I can't say."
"And why can't you say?" I asked.
"Wouldn't you like to know." I heard Mr. Vergara mumble. That's when things got serious.
"What's that supposed to mean?, Emilio." My father asked
"Damien would you like to tell your mother and father what I mean?" Emilio asked me. I went cold all eyes were on me, a bead of sweat formed on my forehead.
"I- um" I couldn't utter a word.
"Fine I'll tell them. Your son found out that my daughter and him were mates at his birthday party and slept with her. Then at school today he humiliated her and rejected her." He said angrily.
My mom and dad gasped.
"Is this true son?" My father asked.
"Y-yes"
"What?! You rejected my sister?" Marco yelled. And it was as if a huge tidal wave of anger came over me.
"Oh don't act like your the innocent one you treated her just as badly as I did." I said pushing him. "You didn't even protect her from the people who bullied her. Oh yeah that's right you were on of the bullies." That's when he got mad. He punched me and I punched him back pretty soon we were on the ground fighting each other there was lots of yelling in the process. While our dads tried to separate us someone slammed their fist on the table.
"Everyone in the living room. Now!" Mrs. Vergara yelled. Her eyes were red and there were dry tears on her cheeks. We all walked to the living room and when we got there we all sat down, everyone but my father.
"I'm so disappointed in you son." He said. "And because of what you have done you are not going to become alpha next year." He continued.
"What?! You can't!" I said.
"Oh yes I can. This proves that you are not ready to be alpha turning your back to a fellow pack member. This shows that you are selfish." I felt so ashamed of myself.
"Marco the same goes for you." Marco didn't argue he just nodded his head.
"Amanda, Roberto can we talk privately?" Emilio asked.
"Yes of course." My father said
Even though they were in the other room I could still hear them.
"I'm so sorry Sofía that this happened." My mom said.
"As well am I Emilio. I hope this doesn't effect our friendship."
"Of course it doesn't these are our children's mistakes that they need to work out."
They talked for a little bit longer and soon we were leaving. I was about to walk out the door but Sofía stopped me.
"Damien this is for you, Aurora left it for you." She said and handed me a folded up piece of paper.
"Thank you." She just nodded her head.
The ride home was silent not even the radio was playing. Just complete silence. When we got home I went straight to my room. I sat on my bed and unfolded Aurora's note
Damien,
I just want to start off by saying I've been in love with you since the day I could understand what love was. I thought you loved me too but I was wrong. You didn't care about me one bit. I hate you. You broke my heart. I gave you something that never belonged to you it belonged to someone who would love me for me and they will never have it because of you. I never want to see you again. I hope I find my second chance mate so I can forget about you. But I just want to know, why? -Aurora
By the time I finished reading the note I was in tears. I did love Aurora I still love her and now she hates me. What have I done.
You fucked up that's what you did and we lost the best thing we could ever have. This is all your fault. Our love hates us and now I hate you.
