Wuxie woke up with a big headache and opened his eyes slowly trying to adjust them to the lights on his eyes, the sun. He touched his forehead and noticed some blood in his palm. He thought to himself, what happened ?. He looked around where he was and noticed that he was still on the vehicle, on his stomach,lying on the living sands and the vehicle flipped over him and his other teammates, he noticed that they lost consciousness too. They didn't seem to be as badly hurt as him. He felt relieved.

He heard a whine and it was Alex lying on the sand while one of his paws was being squeezed by some equipment that was in the car with them before. He panicked and tried to get himself out of the vehicle and stand up but it was hopeless, he noticed that he was also trapped. One of his legs was stuck somehow with the belt of his seat.

Alex noticed this and started barking, also panicking seeing his beloved owner stuck. He tried to pull his paws from the heavy equipment while biting it.

—-Alex...look at me....It's okay... I'm fine...don't move or you would hurt yourself more.——

Alex stops instantly and looks at his owner. He calmed down and sat back on the sand.

—-Good boy....now...relax... I will try to free myself and I will get to you as soon as I can...alright...just wait a minute.—— Wuxie said while he smiled at Alex and tried to reach for his left boot. He took out a small knife and proceeded to use it to cut the belt that was wrapped around his right leg.

He freed himself and stood up quickly, as he said he rushed toward Alex and easily removed the heavy equipment from the dog's paw. Alex stood up and took out his tongue while smiling at Wuxie happily. He waited for Wuxie to kneel in front of him and pump his head with him. Wuxie did so, he lowered his forehead and joined it with the dog's. He brought his both hands and caressed Alex's ears with his fingers.

I don't want to lose you again.—— Some years ago, Wuxie and Alex were assigned to a mission and Wuxie almost got shot if it wasn't for Alex that was faster and protected him, but he got shot instead. He jumped in to save him and Wuxie thought he lost him, he almost fainted that day. It was a miracle that he was alive, he got shot close to where his heart was.

Wuxie tried to not remember the past. He got distracted that day, trying to save some hostages and completely lower his guard. He almost lost the most important family member and companion he had in his life. Alex was special to him and meant a lot to him. He was his parents' gift to him on his fourth birthday. He raised, trained Alex and became his best companion, protector and a k-9 dog.

While he was remembering his childhood memories with Alex he felt something coming toward his direction. Both Alex and Wuxie look at the direction of movement in the sands.

Alex, who just had his forehead joined with Wuxie's, now stood alert and his ears stood up and he growled at the thing that was moving under the sand and stood in front of Wuxie to protect him from it, But instead of coming toward them directly the thing in the sands move to were his other teammates were lying unconscious.

Wuxie lowered himself, sat in a squat position and told Alex not to make any sound. He then picked up his small knife that he threw in the sand impulsively when rushed toward Alex some minutes ago. He also found a gun nearby that could possibly belong to Yue Lou when they had the accident and his gun could have flown and landed on the sand. He picked it up and checked if it had bullets and Indeed it had. He knew he made the right choice bringing Yue Lou with him.

It didn't take time before the thing on the sand made its appearance in front of Wuxie and Alex. Both were Alert. Wuxie was ready to attack at any moment if the thing tried to lay a finger on any one of his teammates.
