Skateboard woke up again, still in chains. Why was he so stupid? He could've easily escaped from him if he wasn't such a slow runner. He only had a skateboard to be fast, so he could cover up his insecurities. He hated how he was so slow. He felt the horns on his helmet, the horns weren't even his. Rocket had taken off his other pair of horns for him a few years ago. He had always said it was because he felt guilty, but he knew it was because he was a disappointment.

Disappointment. He never took offense of it, but one day, when it was used against him. He never recovered from it. He just wished he could remember things that were important, to others, and himself. It was one too many mistakes that made him heartbroken, and he wished he could've changed the outcome.

I opened the door to my house. I saw my wife sitting at the table, she seemed angry, but I didn't understand why. She didn't even touch horns with me, so I knew it was important. I sat down at the table, then I looked at the plate of scrambled eggs I had cooked for her in the morning, the plate was untouched. I thought she had liked her eggs scrambled, so I wasn't sure why she seemed so angry. I decided to greet her, not wanting to seem rude.

"Hey honey, why are you so mad?"

She didn't like how I responded, she seemed even more mad. I didn't know what I did, I had just walked in, sat down, and greeted her. I then heard her speak to me in a tone I have never heard from her ever.

"Don't call me that! You don't deserve to call me that after so many years of this nonsense!"

"But, what do you mean? I didn't do anything!"

"Yes you did! You can't even seem to remember if your own wife liked her eggs fried or scrambled!"

"But, but, I thought you had always liked them scrambled..."

"Don't act dumb with me! I've told you this so many times, and you still can't remember a single thing about me!"

"But-

"No buts! I want a divorce!"

"B-"

"Do you hear me?! You always repeat the same things over and over again! You do know that it doesn't mean anything?! I said I wanted a divorce! You're just a disappointment!"

She was crazy, screaming like a feral animal was controlling her. I wanted to say something, beg her to stay. Unfortunately, I just froze in place, not able to do anything. My felt my skin on my head, seeing that was completely smooth. We can see and speak normally, but we were never able to show emotions, but in that moment, I felt something different. I felt something on my skin, it was wet, and I didn't like it at all. It kept falling down my skin, and I didn't understand what it was. I just stormed out the house, looking like an idiot. Perhaps I should just get the divorce papers and leave my dreams behind.

-

I kept my word, I divorced her and left. I don't want to remember the court case. I just walked around Crossroads, but it just felt lonely. I would always walk here with my now ex-wife, we'd always talk and everything was fine. I could see couples walking around me, and it only broke my heart more, knowing that was once me. I then looked a bit closer at one of the couples, I could recognize one of their voices. Then it hit me, it my ex-wife, my high-school sweetheart, touching horns with my best friend. I ran out of there as fast as I could, I didn't want to see her happy with someone that wasn't me. Sure, I should've been happy, but it just breaks me to already see her getting over me and with someone else.
