Before the creation of the universe, there existed ten spirits called the Ethereal Beings, all very powerful. There is no sure explanation of how exactly they came into existence, but it is believed that they simply appeared and manifested into what they are now. However, there were three who stood out above the rest; Time, Nature, and Luck. These three would come to be known as the most influential and important Ethereal Beings in existence.
As millions of years passed by, which seemed like nothing for the Beings, Time and Luck got visibly closer with each other than the rest of the Beings. Whether it was taking a stroll around the Realm or attending to their duties, Time and Luck were rarely ever seen apart. Over time, the two fell in love and had a Ceremony of Enlightening which is the equivalent of a mortal wedding.
Luck was always the calmer of the Beings and loved granting good luck to those who deserved it. However, this changed when she found out Time and Nature were seeing each other behind her back. She became bitter, unfair, and heartbroken, which only amplified when the essence of another Being, in the form of a 'spark', was sensed by the others. Realizing this was the product of Nature's and Time's affair, an enraged Luck bestowed this 'spark' a life filled with misfortune as punishment.
It is believed that this major event and other important information was documented in the diary of Lady Luck and was sent to the Realm of Mortals. There was never any definitive proof, so it wasthought to be a myth.
